*Consumer Comment: If you are treating a WOOD deck, why didn't you
After investigating a NUMBER of problems, I discovered that although this company uses what they adverstise as being "Enviromentally Friendly" products they IN FACT use Sodium Hydroxide which is LYE!
Dead grass--dead plants--fortunately no dead family members.
Consumers are told you could DRINK what they spray on!
After 8-10 months the decks look WORSE than they did before the expensive treatment.
After the sale custmoer service is invisable...cannot even get a return phone call let alone action.
My advice---call "the others"--they've GOT TO BE better!

BBB Status
AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, August 02, 2006
Here is the current BBB status on two of many cities SealMaxx Corp. does a lot of business in: Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Minneapolis, MN.
Customer Experience
Based on BBB files, this company has a satisfactory record
BBB Definition:
satisfactory record - A business identified in our report as satisfactory has, based on Bureau files, been in business for at least one year, and has voluntarily provided the Bureau with all information requested about the business and its product or service. If any complaints have been received about the business, their number has not been considered by the BBB to be extreme, given the nature of the company's business and the volume of business transacted. Complaints are also generally typical of what might be expected for this type of business. A business stated to be satisfactory has not been the subject of any recent law enforcement actions concerning its dealings with the public. If the business has been contacted by the BBB about its advertising or selling claims, it has modified or substantiated its practices to the Bureau's satisfaction. In addition, the BBB has a clear understanding of the company's business, and the business is not in an industry which has raised significant marketplace concerns.
means a company has been in business for at least 12 months, and properly addressed matters referred by the Bureau. The company does not have an unusual volume of complaints, or any government actions involving its marketplace conduct. The Bureau understands and has no concerns about the company's products, services and type of business.

ANOTHER Falsehood

Nice catch Ralph.
Dave "the Real Deal" suggests checking the BBB for your state to confirm that Sealmaxx is a member with a good track record, and voila.., and you CAUGHT HIM in another Sealmaxx "mistatement" when you discovered they are NOT a even member.
See what I meant?
Their claims carry no weight whatsoever.
All promises with no backup.
PLEASE NOTE: If you find they have become a member, check the date they enrolled. Now that you've caught them lying, they may actually join.
Sic 'em Tiger!!
Anybody else reading this have a bad experience with these thiefs??

Hello "Real Deal",
I took up your advice and checked the BBB site for Illinois.
You are NOT LISTED. I hope that's not an example of "Real Deal".
Perhaps you should join (IF they'll allow you to)!

The comments posted by Ted & T of Addison, Illinois are simply not true. What you have here is a poor excuse of a sales person that Sealmaxx fired for lack of professionalism, integrity, not maturity. If anyone has issues with our service or questions on our products please call us at 888-668-6447 or look us up online at www.Sealmaxx.com. I also suggest you review our Better Business Bureau data for your state. We have a solid record of performance and taking care of our customers. We have professionally cleaned and sealed thousands of decks nationwide and would like to do yours.
Sincerely,
SealMaxx, The Real Deal.

check Consumer Reports? They do 1r/3yr/5yr durability tests on stains and paints for wooden decks. Check your Library and/or join CR online. CR is pretty reasonable..... and honest.
If you are discussing some other kind of deck, then what?
Advertisers above have met our
strict standards for business conduct.
