Our HARP modification mortgage, through Fifth Third Bank, has been "sold" to Select Portfolio Services. We were near the end of this HARP modification. Went to see our banker and he has no knowledge of the horror stories homeowners face with SPS. A Fifth Third mortgage manager told him that our loan was sold to SPS, in a "block" of other HARP mortgages. They do not know how much 5/3 sold our mortgage for. We were pressured to file for a HARP loan and had no idea of what would come. I am scared to death of losing our home. SPS has the mortgage as of June 1. 2015. Are we doomed? The Ohio Attorney General only has 89 complaints filed against this company. From what I have read, it seems to me that Fifth Third Bank is as guilty of fraud, if we lose our home. Is there any help out there for Ohio homeowners? Can SPS foreclose on us? Who are the "investors" in SPS who will be stealing our mortgage or money? Please include us in any class action lawsuit.

They're Crooks, Right?

The selling of loans happens everyday. The loan is not owned by you so none of that is any of your business. Instead of looking under every bed for some magic pill or technicality, why not get another job, part time job or whatever it takes to handle this like an adult? Want to know what being a crook is? It's people who walk out on their contractual responsibilities!
