greetings,i wrote in many months ago to say that i refinanced to get away from sps.at that time i just about completed a forebearance agreement with sps, after paying 704.00 a month for 6 months, all the while trying to finance with a different lender we finally found one.6 months later we are refinancing again, this time not to save our home from foreclosure, but to get a rate of 6%.

the potential lender asked for a payment history from sps, fairbanks, and were told that we were always a month behind in the agreement.the terms were laid out as follows,in march 2006 they were to receive a downpayment of $2800.00,and every month by the 30th for 6 months they were to receive $704.00.i have western union receipts for all 7 transactions that sps received all 7 payments on or before the due date.sps says we were always late because the downpayment should have been $3400.00. strangely enough the forebearance agreement says $2800.00 downpayment.

i called sps and they stand by their actions.so i went to another lender, and because my credit score jumped to 714 from 575,they didn't need to get anything from sps, they just got a history from our current lender that says all 5 mortgage payments were on time,so from paying those scum at sps %13.38,i am now paying 12.78,and with the new bank we are going with i am locked in at 6.25%.if the current mortgage crisis did'nt harm sps, please let me know of any and all lawsuits against sps.

On may 7th 2007,we just refinanced our mortgage, from an adjustable rate of over 12% to a fha fixed 30 year rate of 6.25% with a reputable bank.As much as fairbanks/select portfolio servicing tried to make our lives miserable(they did for a while),we refinanced in the fall of 2006 to get away from them to a place called fremont investment and loan, which on may 1st sold the loan to emc mortgage,1 week after the sale to emc we closed on the refinance at our new rate of 6.25% fixed fha.We got out of a very bad situation,by making sure our payments were timely.please note that forebearance agreements should be handled by your attorney,it will cost extra to get your lawyer involved but it is well worth the expense. We are so glad to be rid of sps,and i hope that anyone that has to deal with these low-lifes will come out on top. Finally I hope select portfolio servicing will be drowning in lawsuits for many years to come, with any luck they will go under,HARD.Good Luck,Bob
