Sellyourboatnow.com has a 3rd party g-mail your listing off of a craigs list or ebay, saying they will buy your boat through paypal. The 3rd party gets your paypal account e-mail and sends it to sellyourboatnow.com (which are probably the same guys) and they charge your paypal account $159.00. Usually in the name of paul smith, john jones or another fictitious name.

The link you posted IS NOT ABOUT OUR COMPANY!

AUTHOR: Neil - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Mr. "Toronto":

How does that link help your argument? It is NOT about Sellyourboatnow. It is about some Nevada based company (which we are not), that is involved in selling used CARS (which we are not).  So this link you have provided has nothing to do with us, and does not i any way make your case.

The challenge still stands. We defy ANYONE to prove that we have ANYTHING to do with this 702 number, or company described to be calling from such a number. NO ONE will ever successfully prove a connection, because there is none!

We are a used BOATS website, based in California, with no office or phone number in the 702 area code.

Thank you.

Explain THAT Neil.

lol

7 years IS a long time to be operating a scam. Multiple scams however it is not and you are a serial scammer.

Don't call on proof. You might just get it!

You are a fraud and your company should be avoided at all costs.

Note that legal docs are not something that can be uploaded and linked to on the internet. But you already know that.

Sellyourboatnow.com has been in business since 2003, How come were still here?

AUTHOR: Neil - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, January 22, 2010

Dear Mr. Whatever you claim your name to be this time out:

Again Sir, we challenge you to PROVE ANY one of the claims you have made in your thread above. There's no accurate info in the entire thread.

Sellyourboatnow.com is owned by a corporation, not based in Nevada, with no Nevada address or phone number. Sellyourboatnow.com has a 100 percent clean business record with Paypal, Visa, MC, Amex, etc. Sellyourboatnow.com has been in business, consistently, at the same website address since 2003. I should know, I work here!

7 years would be a long time for any company to keep a scam of the extent you describe going, and continually have accounts in good standing with all of the above, would it not?

So please prove your completely false allegations. It would make your case much stronger.

However because your allegations are entirely false, incorrect and baseless, they will never be proven.

Neil - Sellyourboatnow.com

We Challenge Anyone to Prove THIS Allegation against us

AUTHOR: Neil - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, January 17, 2010

Dear Consumers:

The only true fraud in the entire thread is the writer of these false allegations.

In an earlier rebuttal we asked ANY of you to:

- Go forward and contact the 702 phone number this man keeps mentioning. Upon doing so you will quickly determine that the phone number in question does not reach our company (but rather an altogether different company)!

- To investigate further who belongs to that 702 number, and/or to invite the police, FBI or anyone else to investigate this mans claims.

If ANY of you have done so, you quickly found out we are correct, and that the 702 number and address the writer mentioned earlier does not belong to our company.

We advise you to:

- Sell your boat only to individuals who come to see your boat in person. Anyone who attempts to complete the purchase of your boat either online or via U.S mail, cannot be taken seriously, and may be out to defraud you.

- Call PayPal. PayPal provides a toll free phone and take the protection of your account and finances very seriously. We have had a 100 percent clean business account with PayPal since 2003. You can call PayPal and ask them about that as well.

The individual that has been writing the lies contained throughout this false and defamatory posting, has no goal other than to attempt to harm our company. He knows full well that his allegations are false and baseless.

Again, investigate his charges YOURSELF:

- Call the 702 number
- Call PayPal
- Send the Police to the address he provided
- See who's telling the truth

(We would not challenge you to do such a thing if we did not already know the outcome).

This is a definite ripoff

AUTHOR: torontopo - (Canada)

POSTED: Saturday, January 16, 2010

The company in question is now in the process of BREAKING THE LAW by auto dialing numbers they've farmed off of every legitimate car or boat sales site online. Do not call list or not they are going to call you.

They are calling daily and have been reported over 200 times to the FCC.

They are currently under investigation.

Note that they have used domainsbyproxy to hide their identities for a reason.

If you see any call from 702 567 8866 report it to the fcc immediately.

Do not ever engage in any conversation with these thieves.

PLEASE investigate us! Get the truth!

AUTHOR: Neil - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, November 22, 2009

Dear Consumers:

PLEASE have someone investigate who owns the 702 phone number "Peter/Paul" has provided, and/or please have the Police visit the Nevada address he listed. Either way the outcome will be the same, as we do not own the aforementioned phone, nor do we have any office address anywhere in the state of Nevada.

"Peter/Paul" is either maliciously and intentionally attempting to mislead the public with the false information he has been providing on this forum...Or he has been mislead by the perpetraor of some type of scam. Whichever of these scanerios is playing out, neither is good.

PLEASE (we insist) contact PayPal and alert them of the fraud that is supposedly coming from the alleged individual in Nevada that "Peter/Paul" describes. PayPal has a relationship with us since 2003, and knows full well that we have never attempted to gain access to ANY PayPal account unlawfully, and/or attempted to defraud anyone of any monies.

PLEASE alert the FBI (fbi.gov) if you believe such crimes are being committed. This will enable them to investigate who is ACTUALLY behind them. That will protect the public, and clarify for you (and the readers of this post) that this allegation against us is false.

IF WE at the actual Sellyourboatnow.com were truly behind and participating in the criminal behavior "Peter/Paul" alleges, would WE be BEGGING the public to investigate, alert the FBI and local Police, PayPal, Google, etc? The answer is a clear and resounding no, we would not. We would be fearful that "Peter/Paul" has "found out of our scam", and has caused the general public and law enforcement to notice "our" behavior. But since we are NOT in any way involved with whatever "Peter/Paul" is alleging, we have no such fear.

"Peter/Paul", we are notifying you (hopefully for the last time), that you may be the victim of some type of scam being committed, by an individual POSING as an employee or associate of our company. We BEG you to ALERT the proper authorities, and have this investigated immediately, before any harm is done to any innocent victim. It is reckless to continue posting this false and inflammatory information online. It is unfair to us, as we truly have no knowledge of the crimes you are alleging. More importantly it is unfair to the public at large to allow them to continue to become potential victims of an internet predator of the type you describe.

Again, this Persons Accusation is FALSE

AUTHOR: Neil - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, November 22, 2009

Dear Consumers:

Please note that the person posting these 100 percent false accusations about our company has now changed his name and location. First he was "Peter", now he is "Paul". The only person here who appears to be creating fake identities is "Peter/Paul".

The latest addition to this persons commentary gets one thing right. We are reachable at info@sellyourboatnow.com. That IS our email address, and Sellyourboatnow is our website. Our phone is a California (818) number NOT a Las Vegas number (and is reachable toll free as well). This seems to be easy enough for "Peter/Paul" to have confirmed on his own. But checking facts does not seem to be an important consideration for "Peter/Paul".

We re-assert we have never employed/contracted/worked with a "Paul Smith", "John Jones", or "Mark Mast". If you believe your allegations to be correct, PLEASE have your allegations investigated by the FBI (they can be reached at fbi.gov). If you would rather contact PayPal (whom you claim these individuals are using to defraud you) PLEASE contact them. PayPal has a phone number on their website, and we assume they take criminal allegations like the one you are making very seriously.

The fact is, "Peter/Paul", cannot prove our connection to the alleged emails he received from a suspicious Gmail account. Nor has he reported the truthful results of any investigation he has helped launch. This is because no such investigation could or would confirm these allegations.

Here's a challenge:

We defy anyone reading this, to prove (as the result of a properly launched investigation - through the authorities) that the allegation, that we are in any way involved in the alleged attempt to defraud this (or any other entity) in the ways described is accurate.

Do we charge (and often bill through PayPal) $159 to advertise your boat? YES, sometimes (Depending on the re-sale value of the boat).

Do we have an email address of info@sellyourboatnow.com. YES.

Do we have any of the above mentioned individuals working for or with us? NO.

Do we know of anyone connected to our company that is utilizing fictitious names, and conducting the criminal activities described? NO.

Do we have any Gmail email addresses that we use to contact anyone, at any time? NO. (PLEASE contact Gmail, and prove that the email addresses you claim to be receiving mail from, are actually connected to us).

"Peter/Paul" is presenting non-investigated and false information. We suggest that "Peter/Paul" actually contact the authorities and have us investigated if he believes the allegations he put forth to be true. In fact, WE INVITE such an investigation.

Try and get an AD from these guys!

AUTHOR: paul - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, November 22, 2009

They have a Vegas number when they call...........but say they are in california.

They use 3rd party e-mails and ficticious names to harass you, like Mark Mast who is out on the ocean somewhere, working as an Oceanist, whatever that is.

The latest e-mail claims we got the wrong company. Avoid info@sellyourboatnow.com at any cost, or it will cost you!

Do you see an address or name or street or phone or anything you can trace, no.        Just, "an employee."

#1 UPDATE Employee

This allegation is 100 Percent FALSE

AUTHOR: Neil - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, November 22, 2009

Dear Consumers:

Most companies (ours included) do not normally respond to the often petty and misleading comments, that are occasionally posted abot them online. However, this comment is so false, dangerous, and misleading, that we feel compelled to respond.

The individual who wrote this posting is describing the most common type of internet money scam. Our website has nothng to do with such scams. Every classified  website online (ours, Craigslist, the Boat Trader, etc) have been fighting the perpetrators of these money scams for years. In fact, on our websites "Boats for Sale" page, there is a specific warning to our boat sellers, to be on the lookout for such scammers.

Sellyourboatnow does not have or maintain ANY Gmail accounts. If you believe you know of a Gmail account that is associated with us, that attempted to defraud you (or anyone) as described in this posting, PLEASE contact the FBI and REPORT the matter to the authorities IMMEDIATELY! You also should contact Gmail, and have them find out who is behind the email account you allege to be involved.

After you file all of the reports, you will notice that Sellyourboatnow is still online and in business, with fully active PayPal accounts, placement on Google search, etc. The reason that we will remain in business after such reports are made, and investigations are complete, is because Sellyourboatnow has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with what you describe is happening. Therefore we will suffer no consequences from the aforementioned reports and investigations.

Scammers visit every classified website online. Whether those sites sell boats, cars, or anything else. They collect the email addresses and other information associated with the sellers. And they contact those sellers offering complicated wire transfer type of payments. Anyone who's been around the internet for a while has heard of these things. Another more common form of the same scam is the "Nigerian check cashing scheme" that has been widely reported on over the years.

Sellyourboatnow has never employed a "Paul Smith", "John Jones", or anyone using similar "fictious names".

Like most companies that run a classifieds oriented business, we are very concerned for our customers safety. Scams like the one described have resulted in victims suffering significant monetary loss. We are as hopeful as you are that the individuals behind scams like the one described are caught and prosecuted, as quickly as possible. And we are proactive in trying to warn users of the web to avoid such scams. Thus, we have the posted warning right on our site site, alerting you to be on the lookout for such things.

In the future, we hope before you go forward and post patently false information (as this individual did)...You actually investigate whether or not the company you are accusing of being behind such a scam ACTUALLY is.

And again, if anyone reading this posting, believes they have been, or know of anyone who has been the victim of any scam as described, PLEASE CONTACT the FBI, ATTORNEY GENERAL, PAYPAL, GOOGLE, or LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT and have the criminals behind scams like the one described brought to justice. We will help you do so in any way that we can, if you contact us about such a situation.

Thank you for your time.
