Settles Auto Sales had a truck on the lot. It had very little gas in it so it could now be driven far. It was sold and didn't get home before the transmission was working bad. Called dealer he knew it was bad and said S*** happens, ask for a trade he said No. He said he would fix it for 1800 dollars. Don't buy anything there. They are crooks and thieves!

By the way

AUTHOR: B - (United States)

By the way, I understand not having a warranty but the transmission going out on the same day you bought the vehicle! A real businessman would at least stand behind his product for one day! You crook!

You should have never had it on the lot.

AUTHOR: B - (United States)

A real man and business does not put damaged and junk vehicles on the lot and give people the impression they are reputable vehicles. Real men and businesses do not put vehicles with bad transmissions on there lots for sale. You claim to have good vehicles but all along You are running a fraud on the community. They knew it was bad because they said they would fix it for 1800 dollars not even looking at it so they knew it was bad while they were selling it. There is such a thing as believing a business that claims to be reputable. You are nothing but frauds, liars and thieves! No one should go to your liking place of business! You are not a reputable business.

Your Problem

AUTHOR: Perry Mason - (United States)

Here's what YOU are telling the world...you tried to take this car for a test drive but you were limited in distance due to fuel supply...BUT...you took it upon yourself to buy this thing anyway WITHOUT a proper test drive! Furthermore, you seem to indicate this was an "AS IS" purchase but you seem to think you are ENTITLED to free warranty service! There was a "BUYER'S GUIDE" on the window. Did you even bother to read it? You would have also signed a disclosure statement which covered the terms/condition of the purchase as well as the "warranty/ as is" matter. Did you even bother to read that also? Bottom line is YOU moved forward to purchase this car WITHOUT a proper test drive. Had you used COMMON SENSE and either declined the purchase or had more fuel added then YOU would have seen the car had problems. Let me save you some time and effort. Don't bother writing back saying "you must work for them" because I'll tell you ahead of time, I don't!
