SEVENTY SEVEN LTD INC Trucking refused to be responsible for damages to my car Greenfield Indiana

I was going to work on I-70 WB on 7/21/09. I was truck by a rock from a dump truck carrying a load of dirt. The truck did not have a cover on it at all. I took down the truck information and contacted the company.

Their manager stated that the truck was carrying sand (riiiiiight). He gave me their insurance information. I filed a claim with their insurance. I got a call back form their insurance saying that the trucking company ordered them not to pay the claim. They stated the trucking company said their load was covered and they were carrying sand (lies). I specifically pointed out to him when I first called me that the load was not covered.

I called the trucking company back and explained to them the response from the insurance company. He tried to spin it off as that he cannot control what the insurance company decides to do. I pointed out they specifically told me that he was the one who ordered the claim to not be paid. His response was "Well you do what you got to do - I have no doubt that the rock came from the truck, but we are not responsible for it."

I have no reason to beleive that their company work ethic is any different. Very poor business practices and openly irresponsible for their work.

I will update this if they ever decide to resolve this issue.
