On November 17, 2006 I called to get prices for a retouch, trim, & style. (Spiral set) I was given the price of $45 spoke w/ Shelia. When I arrived at the hair salon, I was given another price of $60.90 due of the particular hairstyle I wanted was additional. However, by agreeing to pay the $60.90 the hair style of desire would be included in the price.

After getting the retouch applied, & getting the conditioner treatment. I was told that the spiral set would be additional $12.95. I only fulfilled the assessment to pay the $60.90 due to being told several times that the particular style would be included in the price, by Shelia and another employee. Shelia's manager, Pam got involved very unprofessionally, untactful said the style is additional and I'll need to pay it if I want it. I wasn't going to pay anything additional when initially I was given another price before being quoted the $60.90 for service.

After speaking with hair stylist Shelia, and Pam I knew this issue wasn't going to be resolved. So prior to paying for the service received, I thought it would be best to call corporate office before paying. I was told by the manager Pam "I couldn't use their phone to call corporate, just pay, and leave the store." After being told that I couldn't use their phone to call corporate.

I decided it would be best to leave and call corporate upon arrival at home. I was treated unjustly, received lack of service, humiliated in public, given 3 different prices and forced to leave the salon with my hair dripping wet in cold rainy weather; due to dilettante employees, unprofessional individuals, price gauging and incompetent employees.

Do you realize how dumb society is. I have a lady that comes into my salon all the time and complains all the time to me. I am the Manager. Never ever being able to make her happy I always give her the 800#. She then tells me she will never be back. Guess what? She keeps coming back. So yes I do tell you not to ever go back. If I can't make you happy once or even twice, please leave me be and the company and NEVER GO BACK.

SO?

What happened when you called corporate. Because I know for a fact that you would have been reimbursed if you were overcharged. A big CORPORATION is going to make there consumer happy anyway they can. The CORPORATION owns so may salons they want you to come back to them. Whether it be SmartStyle or one of their many other 1000's of franchises.

So that is what I meant by So? I apologize if you thought I was being rude. Although you are reading my words the way you want to hear them, and not the way I am saying them. (nice not mean)

What do you mean so? If what I say is true? Please..
Just as true as me sitting in front of this computer screen, and crap stinks! You must work for that pathetic company? Are you kidding me, reminding me to never go back??? I wouldn't go back to that salon or any of smart styles salons if someone said they will pay off my mortgage, pay for my children's college education, and give me a new kidney, if I needed one!
And calling the corporate office is just as a joke as the salon. I found out that the salons are a franchise. So, basically they could probably care less.

People beware!
