I was ripped off by Smart Certify Direct the following way
1. I did not solicit any business from SmartCertify Direct at any time.
2. An agent from SmartCertify Direct followed up with the misleading information in the transaction. He also mentioned they are number one in the world in training and also have millions of students. Because of these words, I felt it is a trustworthy company.
3. The agent relentlessly pursued me by calling me four times within twenty four hours time though I told him, I was busy.
4. The agent took advantage of my innocence about the financial matters and made me sign the document.
5. At all times during the transaction the agent from SmartCertify Direct diverted my attention without giving clear or relevant answers to my questions.
6. When I mentioned that I would get back after one week, the agent tried to mislead me saying that the credit is approved currently and may not be approved later.
7. Though I asked about the total amount the agent from SmartCertify Direct never mentioned about total amount of $1800.00 that will be financed for the training.
8. SmartCertify Direct never mentioned that I need to sign a contract for the training course. (He only mentioned that there are no upfront fees.)
9. The agent misleads me saying that he will set up an account to access the training material and I need to sign the document on the internet.
10. Whenever questioned about the cancellation, the agent from SmartCertify Direct talks about 120 day certification warranty so as to give an impression that it can be cancelled within 120 days.
11. An email was sent to my Bulk mail with a link to a document. He asked me to click on the link when I said I opened the document he asked me to scroll down and sign below. The agent even at this time did not mention to me that it is a contract.
12. When mentioned that I am busy the agent mentioned that it will take a minute, and said that he will set up a login for me.
13. When enquired about $2316.24 the agent from SmartCertify Direct mentioned that it is the amount I have to pay Smart Certify if they make a placement for $90K salary after I pass the certification (which is definitely a false statement by SmartCertify agent) and never mentioned that it is the total amount I have to pay for training.
14. Just after the document was signed on internet and later printed I went through the document and noticed that the information given to me was different. I contacted the agent immediately to cancel the transaction (in less than an hour time). The agent refuses to cancel the contract saying "You have already signed the document".
15. The document was signed on a computer monitor screen using a mouse. This prevented me to look into the document carefully as it is not the same as a normal paper document where you can easily glance the whole document.
16. SmartCertify agent did not give me time to go through the document and I signed trusting the agents words. Now whenever I call them and ask them to cancel, they just use the words, "You have already signed the document, and we put everything in writing for you". They are refusing to cancel the contract even though the agent gave me false information which made me sign the document because I trusted him.
17. When SmartCertify has millions of students, why do not they consider a few customer's requests to cancel the training without any questions asked, even within an hour of signing the contract.
18. I also lost interest in their training, after going
through the ripoff reports posted by other people.
19 Do not fall in the trap of Smart Certify Direct and do not sign the internet document without reading it carefully. Be cautious about "Rule of 78" Clause too!! That is another rip off..
20. Even after two weeks after the contract was signed There is no material received by me.
