I sent Snap Illusions over $3000 in 2009. They were great to deal with and very friendly UNTIL  they got my money.  After that I got nothing but excuses why my props weren't shipped. They blamed deaths in the family and parts issues and everything else under the sun.

They no longer respond to ANY emails or calls from me and its been almost 2 years since they got their money. I did a google search on the company and found out there are MANY MANY others that they ripped off.  Search for yourself and find out before dealing with them. I wish I did and I would have saved $3000.

Give these scammers money and you will never see it or what you ordered ever again!

Any satisfied Snap Illusions customers?

Snap Illusions have been very heavily criticised for the last year or so in the magic press and on bulletin boards. The owner is either a much maligned person or an out and out thief.

Are there any satisfied customers of the company who can submit verifiable testimonials to this
 site?

(Hint: "customer" does not mean "employee or owner of Snap Illusions")

The original report was filed using my email address to register to this website without my permission. The rebuttal reported by the Companies owner is true as this IS a totally false report. I have never dealt with this company and am sorry that this post makes false claims against them. It should be removed.

Also one more thing I would like to respond to , which I didn't see in the complaint before.   We do not always ask for the money upfront...this is up to the customer ordering the item.  Some want to pay all up front, we also have a 50% down and the balance 2 weeks before items are shipped we provide the customer with picture of the item before the balance is sent.  We also have a layaway -payment plan that we take out over several months.

This is an 100% false statement!

On the internet anything can be said, that doesn't mean it's true. We have been part of the magic community for 30 years. We have hundreds of satisfied customers who will back us up on that statement.  CLICK TO READ CUSTOMER COMMENTS


Unfortunately when you are the company with the best prices, you tend to step on toes of other people who do not like you for this reason. This is something we have had to put up with from day one in the business and unfortunately it will probably never change.  Certain people have it in their mind that if they go on different websites like this one and post negative things , it will hurt our business and help theirs.  

We also have people who have ordered items with a credit card, got the items and got a chargeback , they kept the product and their money.  


There is one thing for certain..we have never just taken someone's money without delivering the product.  That is an absolute lie.  

The positive thing is that although people can go on these sites and try to create bad press for us, it does just the opposite, it attracts attention to us and our website, which in return, gets us new customers, who know how some people in the magic community can be. We are available to provide customer references in which they can personally contact so that they can see that the negative comments are totally false.  

I really think that certain people out there are so frustrated that we are still in business, still delivering products, still getting new customers and still have so many repeat customers, that they have to stoop so low as to make up lies now on these types of websites, as a last ditch effort...sorry to inform those people, that we are not going anywhere, we will still conduct our business and still keep shipping those orders to our happy customers. 


On websites like this one, a person is able to register and then post anything they want without proving it's true. Same with the forums and chat sites you can go on..anything can be said. Luckily for us, we have documentation from our many years in the business ( customer files, shipping receipts ) and satisfied customers from all over the world who will gladly stand behind our business and our products. Anyone with an ounce of common sense would be able to figure out that if what was being said where true we would not still be in business.
