This is the most poorly run business I have ever encountered.  It is a complete scam.  I bought two areas, one for legs and one for under arms.  Not only has it not been effective in the slightest, but the experience has been miserable for me.  

First of all, I am NOT a "hairy" person.  They said that because of this, the treatments are likely to be ineffective as the laser cannot find my "hair."  They told me this AFTER they encouraged me to buy additional packages for other areas.  On top of this nightmare, in order for it to be "effective" you must go in within each hair cycle and be seen every 6-8 weeks (depending on the area).  In the beginning this was almost impossible due to their scheduling constraints from offering all these promotions on sites like LivingSocial and Groupon.  They would be completely booked up and would not be able to see me until 10-11 weeks out.  Then, after July, I was consistently cancelled on for a number of reasons.  Each time I had an appointment I would get a call the day before saying they had to cancel my appointment and could not reschedule it for at least 3 weeks.  This resulted in not being seen at the appropriate times, despite having appointments the entire way through.  

Last week, I googled the company and I was disgusted at the other horrible stories other buyers have reported about South Shore Lasers.

In the end, I not only have been jumping through hoops and inconvenienced for the past year due to this business, but it wasn't effective at all.   I called Groupon and they informed me that they recieved a number of complaints about this company.  I believe they had (at some point) an affiliation with Laser Clinique in Hicksville NY.  I also spoke with Groupon and they are making a formal note of it, in addition to issuing me a full refund.  They insisted I go on here to inform others of the horrible experience I had.  I can't speak for other laser removal clinics, but STAY AWAY FROM SOUTH SHORE LASERS!

Once again I find myself having to answer to a person posing as a previous client.

 I can only offer the following FACTS to support that your viscous attacks are INVALID, UNTRUE and should be DISREGARDED!!!

We have as close to a 100% Satisfaction Rate that any one company could achieve. I am attaching a screen shot of our current Groupon, showing that 98% of the 333 reviews are positive recommendations.  I also called our Groupon Representative only to confirm what we already knew - that they have not received any complaints about our company and have no record of any customers having requested a refund.

 

We work really hard at obtaining the best results for each and every one of our customers.                    

People that are truly unhappy with a company's performance are better served notifying the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, Yahoo, or Super Pages, which are  sites that are trusted for their accurate ratings and source verification process.   This, of course, after attempting to resolve their dissatisfaction to the business itself.  No such complaint has ever been brought to my attention – and scheduling an appointment is NEVER AN ISSUE with our office.  We are extremely professional and accommodating, and even go as far as opening early or staying late to accommodate our customers.
