Scott Smith with Southern Q Smokers and Trailers in Acworth, Ga, took my deposit, made promises to me and failed on all of them. It is like pulling teeth to get a return call and when he does he is rude. I met Scott who cooks under the team name Que'n Stew'n and Brew'n on the professional bbq circuit and thought that a person as successful as he has been in BBQ would treat fellow bbq folks well. That was where I went wrong.

I ordered a trailer form him along with a bbq smoker. The trailer took 9 weeks to get when i was promised 3-4, I paid for many upgrades that he did not have done (i came to find out that this custom fabricator doe snot even do any of the custom upgrade work at his shop, if it does not come form the facotry he does not offer it) I alreadt felt rippped off with this bait and switch then

The smoker, good lord I think my 13 year old doaughter could have built a better product, wleds are not professional at all and the onyl repsonse you get when mentioned is "it is just a smoker" yes it is a smoker a $k smoker and a 17K trailer that was not worth half of that.

I was really excited to be able to save and make one of my dreams come true and start competing like i had seen on TV, now  feel so ripped off by what seems like a con man who mis represents hiimself, his company and worst of all does not seem to care at all when called on his lies.

After this entire unfiortunate transaction I came to find out so many things about Mr. Smith from his former clients and friends, it was not a shock to me to find out this was a pretty common experience but I have been told of personal financial problems, extra martial affairs and if you talk to him more than once you will find he cannot remember what lie he told you to start with and has alot of trouble keeping them straight.

I ended up taking my trailer to another perosn in the industry that was not too far from Southern Q Smokers shop, They fixed up the issues with the trailer and even though, I had already paid Scott for certain items, I felt what I paid the other shop was fair. I sold the smoker since I really did not want anyone to see that as my fancy new compettion smoker and bought one from these guys. It is awesome.

All I can say is before you do business with Scott Smith and Southern Q Smokers and Trailers, Do your homework and talk to him more than once. If you are not careful you will get sold a bag of lemons too.
