Wedding was held at Deer Park October 6, 2011.

Southside Rental D.B.A. Perfect Parties Tents & Events was in contract to deliver plates, silverware, tables, linens, and chairs.  Delivery was to be the day before the wedding at 3:00 p.m.  Deer Park was rented under contract for the period of two hours for set up of the wedding, 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. 

Southside Rental was responsible for set up during this time period.  Upon arrival one person was sent with wrong linens, wrong size, wrong color, and stains on them.  This same person was to set up tables, chairs, and a rented brass arbor.

The chairs were dirty, covered in rain water and mud.  The man sent to set up for the wedding had never done it before.  He was lost as to what needed to be done.  He had never even been to the venue to see a set up. 

As a result of only having a window of two hours to set up family and friends had to do it all.  We were under the impression there would be no charge since the party coordinator at Deer Park had also notified Southside Rental to let them know we had done all the set up.  No tools were even provided to put together the arbor which came in pieces.  The man sent to set up did not even know the arbor belonged to Southside Rental, (Perfect Parties) we had to get tools and the family of the bride had to do all the work to set up and clean all the dirty chairs.  Southside Rental, (Perfect Parties) told us the entire process was a 20 minute job.  Problem. . .  nothing was clean, all needed to be washed off, no tools were provided and one man was sent.   He did not know what to do.  The arbor took 2 family members and the man sent to set up.  So how with no tools and one man could this be a 20 minute job.  The set up took us 2 1/2 hours with all family working furiously to complete the job.

Our day included family and friends having a rehearsal dinner.  Some family had not even had the opportunity to meet yet.  As a result of NO HELP and not sending the proper items family had no choice other than to do all the cleaning, work, and set up.  Our dinner started late.  We had no time to clean up before dinner or change clothes. The day was ruined because family had to do all the work that was contracted by Southside Rental (Perfect Parties). 

We are refusing to pay for work we had to do.  We had to clean, put together and set up the entire wedding.  Dirty chairs, dirty linens and all.

We are outraged at the billing amount for work, cleaning, set up and a ruined wedding event.  Money cannot even replace that day for us.  We are refusing to pay for work we did.
