Upon our return flight on Spirit Airlines from Ft. Lauderdale to LAX we discovered one of our luggage did not make the return flight. We filed to customary report at the Airport losing an hour of our time to get handled.

On the following day we began our diligent efforts to contact the two numbers provided by Spirit Airlines to track down our luggage. Both numbers were never answered requiring significant hold times to just be able to leave a message.

On the second day we attempted to contact these numbers finally reaching some representative in India that said he could not get involved until the bag was lost for seven days and that we should contact the airport. It took nearly an hour on hold to get this pathetic idiot and get his pathetic reply.

On the third day we made attempts to contact the airport and finally were able to speak to someone who indicated they may have found the bag in Las Vegas and were attempting to have it sent to LAX.

Over the next several days of the aforementioned we continued calling and waiting on hold for 40+ minutes to hear the same story.

After seven days we were told the bag was lost and they would not be able to locate. The next day we received a call indicating they found our luggage and it will be sent to our home.

Upon receipt we found the bag was irreparably damaged and items were missing from our luggage. Spirit Airlines basically said tough s**t on the items lost and to submit a request to get reimbursed for the replacement of our bag. Two months have passed and we have yet to receive any reimbursement.

Obviously, Spirit Airlines does not care about reimbursing us leaving us no alternative but to engage them in court. I am thinking of flying them again so I can damage their property like they damaged mine.

I take comfort in knowing if a surgeon removes my brain I will have the qualifications to work at Spirit Airlines.

If you have a choice in airline travel it is best to avoid this airline!
