I see this all too often on here and let me add my poor experience with Sprint to the pile:

I was assured by Sprint last Dec that no contract was in place so I cancelled service and requested my number be transferred. Sprint, of course, did neither, and finally transfered my number 4 months later. Of course they then sent bills claiming breach of contract, which I promptly pointed out was a lie because they had told me there was no contract. I refused to pay for any more service.

They then turned it over to collections who misrepresented the debt first as services for 4 months, then as a "breach of contract" fee. These people were equally ignorant.

Finally out of frustration I settled the debt for 50% of what they claimed was owed IF they sent a letter confirming that no adverse marks would be on my credit, that the settlement was not an acknowledgment of a debt actually owed, and that I would receive no more phone calls.

I see that many people have had similar experiences with these unethical goons and their piss poor service. I am an attorney in GA and while I generally detest class actions, these people must be punished and should be sued along with their collection agents so I will also join any current suits or add myself as counsel in any suits pending if my help is needed. Please contact me by using the rebuttal box below and let me know if anyone is interested, for the good of the public, in exposing these people as the criminals they are. They cannot be allowed to hold credit hostage for debts that are not owed. These are mafiaoso type tactics at their finest.

Wake Up Shantae. When a compnay says FREE it means free.

AUTHOR: Frank - (U.S.A.)

When a compnay says FREE it means free. If there are fees involved then say so. As far as you having to work your "@#$ off because Sprint pay isn't that great". If that means you have to LIE or CHEAT customers for your commission then you need to look for another job, unless of course you like screwing people over. I dealt with Sprint one time and learned my lesson, I dropped your company real quick. I am currently with Nextel, been with them for almost 4 years and have not had a single problem. Now that Sprint is in the picture by buying Nextel, the first sign of any crap and I'll drop them too. In closing, I say to you, if you enjoy ripping people off stay with Sprint, if you have any self respect --look for another job.

Let me ask you something, if you go into a store to add a new phone to your account for "free" would you ask questions? I understand what you are saying about every rep has to pitch it blah blah blah. But come on now, you DO NOT have to say yes. Let me break it down for you. Reps that work for Sprint are either students or single parents, or even elderly people. The money that they pay us is NOT great therefore we have to bust our a$$ trying to make commission. And if we don't offer it and sell we can and will be terminated. It's not right but what can you do? As far as the customers are concerned, if you don't want it don't take it. No matter how good it sounds. But dont sit here and talk about class action this and class action that just because you feel its a rip off. Because it isn't. Some people at Sprint have their own "sales tactics" but that in no way represents the company policies. They don't tolerate that. To protect yourself, get the name and LOGIN ID of the person who sold something to you, that way you have something to reference, take notes if you have to and stop whining like a baby. We really HATE that!

SPRINT DECEPTIVE MARKETING TACTIC FOR CLASS ACTION

AUTHOR: DAVID - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 14, 2005

It appears Spring is telling all their current customers they can get a free additional phone attached to their current plan. It will be a new number, but as long as it does not go over any additional minutes, there wont be any charges.

This probably happens thousands upon thousand a day since it appears EVERY sprint representative is to pitch this.

Well, it appears there are additional charges. And a additional 2 year contract. But if you listen to any Sprint representative, you will see how they say there is not.

This seems like a clear, multi million dollar class action for any smart class action attorney.

Its a deceptive marketing practice for not warning anyone they are signing another 2 year contract, AND a outright lie since there are about $7.00 a month in charges for each additional line.

All someone has to do is interivew any sprint customer who goes for the pitch.

Easy lawsuit and good way to straighten out Sprint from ripping off the public.

I am sueing the latest collection agency under the Fair Debt Collections Act for $1000 as they failed to follow the law.

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 11, 2005

I am now dealing with the third collection agency. I am also dealing with the second credit reporting agency trying to clear this up. Going on since 2002. I am sueing the latest collection agency under the Fair Debt Collections Act for $1000 as they failed to follow the law. I was advised by my lawyer to "go for it". As for Sprint, they say I owe them nothing but yet keep turning me in to collection for ONE DAY of no service.

I would love to join in any class action. This has caused me unbelievable time and money fighting them.

To Ben, Georgia attorney with Sprint case

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 11, 2005

This is a response to the report from the attorney in GA who had a bad experience with Sprint re: early termination. I'm having the same nasty battle with collections and would love to join a class-action suit.

If you have any other responses or need supporting documentation, please contact me. I would love to help -- all I'm asking is for my credit report to be cleared by these bloodsuckers.
This website will send my info to you.

Thanks,
