It's time for anyone and everyone who has been ripped off or otherwise defamed by Sprint to take action. Therefore, I am now suggesting that anyone who has ever had a fraudulent collection placed on their credit report by a fraudulent bill (some may call it extortion... pay us or we put a collection account on your credit report) to write to the following:

1. Your state Attorney General..... their offices are normally listed on your home state's website. Contact your AG with your complaint and tell them how Sprint is falsely billing you and extorting money from you. Enough complaints to the AG and Sprint could be relieved from doing business in your state!

2. The FCC. They should get a copy of a complaint stating that Sprint is selling their service in an area that they do not have licenses or coverage for. And they should be notified that Sprint is attempting to collect fees on non-existant service.

3. The SEC. Ask them to conduct an investigation on "accounting methods" used to "write off" "bad debts" owed to them when Sprint fails to verify the identity of those they sell service to. Maybe these numbers in the books on "sales" were used to inflate the "bottom line" and make PCS stock rise! I don't know if that is true, but maybe the SEC could get to the bottom of this! There are many consumers who have had thier identities either fraudulently used or submitted by Sprint's collections when attempting to collect on bad accounts.

Sprint can't even verify names and addresses on a credit report when activating service for applicants! If there is an error discovered when sending the debt to collections, they change the credit report of the individual they are trying to extort money from to reflect that individual resided at the address used when Sprint provided service fraudulently or to someone with a "like sounding name"!

4. While you are at it, the IRS. Yes, I'm sure they would like to know why Sprint gets "deductions" on "write-offs" and "bad debts" on accounts that they never should have opened in the first place! Why should the average taxpayer -you and me- pay taxes and let Sprint get away with reducing their taxes due to their negligence? If any of us are negligent and forget to carry the "3" on our tax return does that mean we get to pay only $ 2 in taxes April 15 or $302?

5. The Credit reporting Bureaus. They would like to know why Sprint is NOT verifying credit information when 1) opening accounts (they ask you for your SSN for a "credit check" and it amazes me how many complaints are on this site with rebuttles that state "your credit *sucked* that's why you get the ASL plan (even from those who have HAD perfect credit, that is before those individiuals dealt with Sprint) and

2) when trying to collect on "bad accounts". Sprint is opening up the Credit Reporting Bureaus to be exposed legally in their reporting of false data.... which, last summer, was the basis of a judgement against one of the CRB's for $5,300,000 ! You think that enough complaints against Sprint to the CRB's would make the CRB's think twice about letting Sprint have access to a Credit Report after such awards? What do YOU think? Enough complaints here and "Collection Agencies" (who sometimes "purchase bad debt" at "pennies on the dollar") will stop "purchasing" all debt accounts from Sprint when they discover the "accounts purchased" are fraudulent, and won't EVER get paid due to an investigation by the agencies you write to about your individual experiences. (Here's how that works.

If Company A has a "debt" owed to them of $100.00, they may sell that "debt" to a "collection agency for $75.00, this way the Company A gets their money outright (not all of it, but can "write off" the $25.00 ON THEIR TAX RETURN, they get the $75.00 to mark as "REVENUE to the SEC on the accounting reports, even though the $75 (or $100) NEVER existed in the first place! Then you "pay this off" (sometimes after interest has collected on the "entire $100) to the collection agency (who makes $25 + interest) to stop further efforts, and to keep good credit.) If it is later found out that the account was FRAUD, "Company A" still has $75 revenue, a $25 "loss" against that revenue while the collection agency is OUT $75, plus the labor to collect and investigate disputes!

6. Mention that you would like to find out how to file a RICO complaint against Sprint to your state or Federal District attorney in your letter to the Attorney General. District Attorneys handle CRIMINAL complaints, and investigate. This whole company and their collections enterprise sound like Organized Crime to me (I could be wrong again, you make up your own mind, or let the DA decide for you after you write to them)

It's time to get REAL results. Sprint couldn't care less about the individual complainant. But together all of us... during the month of February.... let's all get together and send a message to ALL 50 states AG's and everyone else above.

It's time WE are heard.

If anyone else visits other "sprint sucks" websites, feel free to copy this and SPREAD THE WORD! E-Mail to ANYONE you know who has ever dealt with or has Sprint service now!

And to be sure.... sent TWO copies of your colmplaints to the agancies listed above... one the day you get this... and another on February 28! Let's get THOUSANDS of letters flowing in about your experiences!

Sprint will NO LONGER be able to extort money from the victims of their negligence and false promises!

I WAS TOO RIPED OFF I NEVER HAD A CELL PHONE BEFORE IN MY LIFE AND NOW I GET BILLS FROM SPRINT 5 HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR A PHONE I DONT EVEN OWN! NOW I HAVE COLLECTION AGENCYS CALLING ME I WILL SUE THOSE BASTARDS

They are still creating false bills

I work in a store where we took in used Sprint phones in trade (to be resold for parts or to people who need to replace a broken Sprint phone) as we sold another phone service.

We used to check on how much was owed on the phone when it came in (it was free to check last year, now they charge for it) and several had low bills, some had none. I recently let someone try to turn on one that had been a $50 bill unpaid, and was turned off - 6 months later the phone now has $600 due!

This kind of inflated account is probably the tip of the iceberg on Sprint. I am now stuck with several Sprint phones with bills in the hundreds of dollars, which have all been off, in storage boxes, for several months, and last year had no contract and little or no additional money due.

Some phones came in with hundreds of dollars in bills overdue (and still on,) yet they turn off some other people before they use up all their contracted time - how can that happen except through deliberate actions on the part of the people at Sprint?

SPRINT investor class action suit filed!!!

"The complaint charges that defendants, the Sprint Corporation ("Sprint" or the "Company"), Ernst & Young LLP ("Ernst & Young"), William Esrey ("Esrey"), and Ronald Lemay ("Lemay") violated Sections 10(b), 14(a) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and Rule 10b-5 promulgated thereunder, by issuing a series of materially false and misleading statements to the market. Specifically, the Company's press releases and SEC filings overstated the Company's earnings and net assets by failing to reserve for the likely reversal of over $100 million in tax benefits attributable to highly questionable tax shelters used by Sprint's executive officers and Defendants failed to reveal that these tax shelters caused a conflict of interest between the executives and Sprint and its accountants. "

SEC is investigating Sprint and its executives!

Friday, February 7, 2003 USA Today Money section, page 1:

"Under that novel tax avoidance plan, Sprint would have taken back options the executives had converted into stock earlier in 2000 when the WorldCom merger appeared likely and Sprint's share price was soaring. Because tax liability accrues from the moment the options are exercised, the 68% decline in Sprint's stock that year left Esrey and LeMay with huge tax debts they had no easy way to pay."

SEND YOUR COMPLAINTS TO THE SEC!! TELL THEM HOW SPRINT NEVER VERIFIES IDENTITIES THUS CREATING FALSE REVENUE!

And for Karen, IF you do find an law firm willing to take on these criminals, then post the law firm name and contact info! I have been looking, but if it ain't an injury or medical malpractice, they couldn't care less. Sprint knows this and this is why they get away with everything they do. That's why we individuals need to flood the organizations listed in my report above with complaints... there is strength in numbers!

If anyone runs, or knows other "Sprint Sucks" websites (there are lots there, just do a search for "sprint sucks") POST THESE MESSAGES and contact information on the site! Spread the word via e-mail for anyone else you know that has been screwed by Sprint!

I wonder how anyone who bought their stock feels about being duped too? Any securies fraud attorneys out there?

SPRING PCS-FINALLY GOT RID OF THEM

We finally terminated my husband's service (or non-service) with Sprint about 10 days ago, as he was not able to get signal for the vast majority of the time. When he called to cancel, the CSR tried to get him to reconsider, offering him 1000 more minutes free per month. Uh, obviously he wasn't listening when my husband told him WHY he was cancelling. 1000 more minutes a month that he CAN'T use because he has no signal? No thanks.

Since he switched, he has more minutes for less money and best yet, he can make and receive calls when he needs to.

There are no words for Sprint, should be shut down

On 02/07/2003 I found out Sprint had issued a cell
phone and account to someone. Using my Social Security number on 11/03/2001. Not my name and address or birthday just ss# They let this person charge up 388.00 before shuting the account down.I found this out when I went to Nextell to obtain a cell phone for my self.

The cell phone companies use a credit bureau called lightbridge. Now my social security # is in this lightbridge and I can't get a phone. I spent a 10 hour day on the phone with every dept. of Sprint Fraud dept. Collections, and customer service.

Their Fraud Dept was going to hang up on me! They gave me a number to Lightbridge 800-847-2444 it is automated this number gives you an address to send your complaint to then tells you they will contact you in 2 weeks.Sprint told me I had to go to a Sprint Store and prove my Identity. I did that drove 50 miles to the store.

The store assistant manager tried to help, but he got the same run around.Spent 3 hours there.With no results. So Sprint's Fraud dept lied to me.

I cannot get this corrected. How in the Hell can Sprint allow someone to obtain a phone and service without verifying anything? They sent me on a wild goose chase,but allowed this criminal to so easily use my information to obtain a phone. Why didn't they attemt to catch this person?

They obviously have phone records of calls they made! So we are the victims of Sprint! They are not verifying a d**n thing. Sprint is giving out cell phone service over the internet and telephone.

This is an outrage! You can try and protect your personal information but its out there for criminals who work places that have access to SS#'s.

It's half rate companies like Sprint who put us at risk for Fraud!Then they handle the situation like a bunch of half rate idiots.

I suppose I will have to obtain the services of an attorney to get this resovled. I sent a complaint to the Attorney General, the FTC, and the FCC. Sprint will pay for this! I

will not let this rest. While I was in the store I did manage to send alot of customers away. I gave them this web site address and told them to look here before they signed up with Sprint.

Sprint offered me free phone service for the "inconvenience" I would not use their service if it was free for life!!!!Look out Sprint you screwed the wrong person!!!! I will get you!!!
