Sr Chontas construction Aka sunsaris I was charged 40,000 for a solar system that's value is less than 20,000 and the company has yet to try and fix the problems. Orlando Florida

 To whom it may concern.

We have been trying to work with you regarding this system. The Solar Photovoltaic system is installed in the wrong location. As it is in writing from you, even after we informed you it would result in a lower performing system and even the bank that signed you up believes that this is your biggest problem with your solar products. You asked for it to be installed on the back of your house (N-NW) with a lot of tree coverage simply to allow a more aesthetic look to your home as you did not desire it to be seen, which was completely within your right as the homeowner. However, Any solar professional will tell you that for peak performance the system needs to be installed on the South facing roofs as we suggested. We also have shown you some Government based software that has calculated that your system would perform 30% more efficiently if you had let us relocate the system for you as we have offered several times free of cost to you. As a company that you claim is a scam, we have gone above and beyond what is called for.

We have installed a $1,000 monitoring system (at our own expense) to see what the system is producing to help identify if there are any operational issues other than where you chose to put the panels which in itself is causing the issues you are complaining about. The very monitoring system in which you later unplugged, therefore elemnating our efforts to monitor the system. We understand Amber solely wanted the login information which was the underlying reason it was unplugged, however, that only required a simple request for the information. You have not been shy at contacting us previously, so why the system had to be unplugged I am still not certain of. We also agreed to cover the electric usage for the time period we monitored the system in June and July, which was just installed and set up on 6/23/17.

The only scam I see here is the one you are trying to accomplish with us by forcing us to remove a system which legally we have no obligation to do so, nor did we have to offer to assist you with your electric bill or install said monitoring device, however in attempts to appease you we have gone above and beyond our standard protocol. We know your intentions are for us to remove the system so that you can have a "Childhood Best Friend" install a system for cheaper while probably using lesser quality products. If there is any dispute to any information here we have it all documented. If you need to see any of the documents please don't hesitate to reach out as you have not restrained from doing so in the past. We believe there is no satisfying this client despite our many attempts to do so. We will not be removing his solar system. Considering this complaint, we are no longer willing to relocate the system free of charge as he continues to state horrible claims against our company despite our attempts to satisfy the clients.  We have even giving them a larger size system from what was originally on the contract at no cost to the customer.  Contract said 24 panels of 260 watts which equals a 6.24K system.  We installed 22 panels of 290W panels which equals 6.38K system.  After S.R. Chontas being in business for 34 years with no complaints, we feel that we have done everything possible to satisfy this customer, but because they found out they could do it for less, by doing it on the side, they feel they were scammed.  We will not do things on the side and of course everyone can save money by doing it on the side and not through a licensed legitamate company.
