The government's System for Award Management (SAM) comes up for renewal each year. It is free to renew. This third-party registration administrator sends out numerous emails with a warning to renew SAM. It looks professional and includes the applicable government account information and Cage Code that is applicable to renewal. It costs $299+ to renew through the third-party, even though it free through SAM.
It's very confusing because you'll receive so many emails.
The actual SAM site has a disclaimer that says not to use any site that isn't .mil or .gov. and that you engage in third-party vendors at your own risk.
