St Paul Audi hired me to transport a car from Rancho Mirage Ca to St Paul Mn. As i arrived on site in Ca the General Manger of the Audi store in Rancho Mirage Ca grabbed paperwork and keys for the vehicle i was there to pickup. I told them multiple times it was for 019752 vin# and they assured me this was that car! So the Sales manager guides me to the vehicle and we complete the condition report and he verifies this is the correct vehicle. I proceed to transport the vehicle to Minneapolis Minnesota. When i arrive in St. Paul the employee of St. Paul Audi looks over the car top to bottom. So we park the car on the lot and he signs my contract as (car is good and correct) the next day i text Andrew to come pickup a check for $800 for the transport! He informs me that the dealer in California had made a mistake and sent me with the wrong vehicle so they were not going to pay me..... of course i was very mad that they had signed for the vehicle after the dealer in California admitted fault in this manor... end result.. this dealer ripped me off $800 dollars as we rely on this money for our family of four. After a little investigation i find out the California dealer actually credited St. Paul Audi $800 for the mishap but they wont pay my company... total scam

Always cover your a**

“…they assured me this was that car

It would seem that someone that transports vehicles would always personally verify the VIN. You didn’t cover your a*s.

“…the next day i text Andrew to come pickup a check for $800 for the transport”

Why would you tell someone to come pick up the check if you are the one getting paid? That seems rather odd.

Question

Why did you release the car without payment?

As you have rights to that car that should have been in the WRITTEN transport agreement you had them sign, and it should have required payment upon delivery...Not Payment upon delivery plus 24 hours.
