I received a letter from Starluck Casino on December 22nd along with a cashiers check for $4,989.51, I was kind of confused for a moment but then I git really excited because it was only a couple daays away from Christmas and the money came just in time. So after my initial shock wore off I continue to read the letter, it stated that I had won a bigger prize of $97,000.00 credited to my ticket number 47-98-57-10-96 and that this was from a total cash prize draw of $582,000,.00 shared amongst 6 winners and that all participants were selected througha computer ballot system drawm from 260,000 names in North America as part of their international promotions program conducted annually.

The stated that the $4,989.51 was for me to pay my processing and clearance fees for my prize, my excitment was still in high drive but after a couple more seconds I thougth check this out because I don't recall entering into a lottery of any sort.

I then did some research and found this was a SCAM and not to deposit the check because if the check clears and i spend the money I will be held responsible for paying the money back. I need to know what can we do about this, this company should not be allowed to target people like this, we need laws to prevent this from happening to us and laws to protect us from these type of scams,

I am very upset that this is not a real check and I almost fell for it and the biggest thing I am upset about is to know that these people have my address along with myname how is that possible.
