Why don't you post THEIR information also? You need to be fair. You need to name and attack the other alledged(by you) 'mistakes' also, because you have only been harassing Rita so far!

Senator Coughlin:
The Senate Health Committee is going to have to clarify the physician 'impairment' mess and the 'evaluation' issues in Ohio. I can't spend my whole life, as I've spent the last 16 years, getting evaluated because I don't have what the State Medical Board took my medical license for - a 'personality' or 'anger management' disorder that I disagreed with Dr. Nice (and Senator Grendell) - discussing who I dated in college or medical school for the Medical Board? My expert in 1996 spent days discussing such ROT.

At some point the goes' have to stop. The State Medical Board of Ohio is allowed to just keep ordering these evaluations on women physicians, without patient complaints, and you approve the appointment of the WORST physicians, lawyers, and lay Members to the SMBO (State Medical Board of Ohio), and keep appointing these Members without appointment term limits. You have term limits, but Dr. Anita Steinbergh doesn't - explain that one. No Members are from the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for the last 20 years explain that one.

These 'evaluations' are not covered under any health insurance as they are POLITICAL, especially if the reasons are 'confidential' = 'confidential' medical procedures. You can't make a diagnosis with 'confidential' information in medicine. Likewise the treatments for such evaluations are not covered under any health insurance. Currently, Senator Grendell wants me evaluated by a criminal forensic psychiatrist (that he went to CWRU Law School with), for disagreeing with the wrong care of myself, for the SIXTH TIME = the number of times is abusive at this point. Thinking about Dr. Resnick puts me in tears there's nothing that I did to patients, and I had to try to save myself as the male physicians in Ohio don't women's medicine and won't consult. Everyone else is allowed to object and have a family except me for some reason = the scapegoat. It's not that I'm disorganized, I'm trashed.

Senator Grendell, and the State Medical Board of Ohio have refused to accept the US personality expert who co-writes the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Psychiatry (DSM) for the US and the world - since 1996 - Dr. Andrew Skodol. Neither the Board nor the physicians involved would co-operate with Dr. Skodol, or give him the entire file, and/or access to the physicians who complained about me to evaluate their complaint, mental status, and competency. 'Confidential' complaints don't evaluate the 'competency' of the complainers (how many complaints do they have against THEIR MEDICAL LICENSE by patients? what drugs are they on? how much do they drink?), the validity of the complaint, or allow for other objective testimony (the physicians at Hillcrest who didn't sign the complaint and why' didn't they sign) to rebuke the complaint before the Board launches evaluations and investigations that the Board can't win because of these omissions in legal process - and they are such gross omissions that you don't have to be a lawyer to see the problems. This is EXPENSIVE for the physicians and the State.

The 'impairment mess' for physicians: Look I was supposed to work uncasted, sleeping with Dr. Nice on the side, and without blood work to correct 'simple' thyroid and vitamin D problems, but I can't work if I say that the guys made a 'mistake' doing that and put patients at risk by having me working referring to (or whoring with if I had agreed) Dr. Nice without casts, reduction of fractures and nearly passing out. Rather, I was just 'obsessed' with my care that I couldn't work that way - and NO ONE can work that way - even you guys. And I can't work now until I admit an 'impairment' that I do not have, and my health 'issues' are because of State Medical Board of Ohio neglect - not because I tried to neglect or misdiagnose them. [You suspended my medical license so that I could not longer order blood tests, or prescribe thyroid medication, for myself.]

The Board is only interested the details at this point to find another false' case, or cause more trouble, and no one on the State Medical Board knows what Hashimoto's is or how to diagnose it (occurs in women 50:1) - it hasn't been mentioned in 16 years and I've had it probably since 1990. The Ohio State Medical Board Members know nothing but psychiatry and evaluations (and none are Boarded in this specialty) = things that you are not allowed to do on even terrorist suspects for 16 years. This is not a fight that I wanted to have; I asked both Drs. Nice and Keith to DISCUSS the situation and sign off the case multiple times they don't have to.

In 1992-7, I had to go to NYC for gynecological care despite the Cleveland Clinic and Holly Thacker MD making women's medical care popular and a cash-crop in the Cleveland area. And you are supposed to have to allow physicians 'care-to-function' in Ohio before declaring them 'impaired' because they can't go along with Dr. Nice, or Dr. Keith's bizarre fracture care, a personality diagnosis that they DON'T HAVE, or endless evaluations of their sex life. These SMBO 'evaluations' are not about patient issues - rather sex and colleague issues; 'fishing' for a case of a colleague not 'getting along' = sex in Ohio at Hillcrest Hospital (not changed since Cleveland Clinic took it over). And I don't do affairs, lesbianism, and bisexual stuff = what Carla O'Day MD agrees with and other Members, and laughs that I won't go along with.

Before I went to Dr. Nice's office for 3 minutes to ask for an 'explanation' in 1992, he had mistcasted 3 fractures, heaped his office furniture in front of our office door to obstruct and injure patients, sent patients to wait in our office while he partied for lunch, published horrible things about me all over Hillcrest Hospital and given my medical records to Hillcrest Medical Staff Office for laughs. He had been asked for TWO YEARS to 'call the Mayo Clinic.' He's juvenile.

This issue of evaluations and disclosures to the SMBO has certain 'blind' spots. First, Dr. Nice has whatever 'pathology' that he has personality-wise = which is allowed to remain undiagnosed, unevaluated, and untreated. Dr. Nice is and remains 'pathological' to women patients, with orthopedic procedural results all over the map of 'horrible' to decent = not predictable. Male physicians are working with alcoholism (showing up DAILY under the influence, drinking heavily at every Medical Staff Meeting and CME Meeting), AIDS/HIV, hepatitis, cancer (prostate and other), neuroses that women cause their care problems and need therapy so that they don't sue (Dr. Keith), and sheer laziness or stupidity.

Male physicians in Ohio don't have to say any 'general' statement about their health, but you want me to NOW say that I have a thyroid problem and bone problems (statement of health which my Cleveland Clinic physicians have to do and have offered to do) = problems that would be 'nothing' today if they were treated properly in 1992 - which the State Medical Board of Ohio wouldn't not let anyone in Ohio, or elsewhere, do. These problems are shared by numerous women physicians, who don't have to admit them publicly, as they are not contraindications to medical practice and usually are diagnosed & treated early, and 'go away.' The Board nixed my Endocrinology Fellowship in 1992 where they guy was going to treat my bone problem and do all the blood work that the Ohio State Medical Board wouldn't allow. At least ONE physician in the US thought my bone condition needed further evaluation and treatment in 1992 - and he was correct.

Eight fractures are because of the State Medical Board of Ohio's license to kill women physicians,' and make them have whatever diagnoses that they need for discipline statistics; to this day the State Medical Board won't admit that I have a bone problem - just that I 'exaggerated.' To get back I need to do a disclosure about health issues - so that the Board can do another 'impairment?' Thyroid problems are not contraindications to medical practice unless they are untreated. My problem was untreated because the State Medical Board threw out the blood work on this, Dr. Lafferty's blood work never showed up like the Rorschach answers, and told other physicians not to care for me FOR 16 YEARS SO FAR.

You need to start doing your job. Job anti-discrimination laws mandate that you have to allow people with disabilities to work, without endless political evaluations, even if the disabilities are political and fabricated as mine are (or caused by State Medical Board of Ohio mistakes). So far I've not been able to work in medicine for the last 16 years and I'm no threat, or prophylactic threat, to patients - just to colleagues who can't do their job or 'hit on me' for personal needs. And the files remain 'confidential' so how can the disability be 'fixed' or the false impairment cleared? Anyone who comes forward to disagree will have their license nixed as Dr. Nice has to be 'protected' - by Senator Grendell and by the SMBO. And now it's a time capsule' issue because you've kept the false case going so long, so I have repeat the Boards in Internal Medicine but my friend in Rhode Island has offered to put me back in his Internal Medicine residency and rotate me through again essentially should be better than a FMG at least. There's nothing more that I can say - this is unjust, expensive and needs to end.

The Board told you what conditions to comply with before the Board would re-instate your medical license.

YOU chose NOT to comply-your license was NOT re-instated.

Get over it. Your continual posting of your rants (15 years after the fact) only demonstrates that the [Board directed] evaluation of you that indicated you very likely have a mental disorder that prevented you from practicing medicine in an acceptable manner was correct.

These internet rants of yours are not helping you get your medical license re-instated. Just the opposite: you're convincing folks that you SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE MEDICINE and that the action taken by the Board was correct and appropriate.

Hopefully, you will seek out and obtain the treatment you need.

Pretty much everyone at Hillcrest Hospital knew that 'something' serious was wrong with me in 1990-2, with 3 fractures in 9 months without trying and serious bone pains when I tried to work, and that Dr. Nice was misassessing the situation. I got advice about bone density tests, etc in the hallways from even a pulmonary physician - who didn't sign the complaint but was trying to help. What was done was done to get Hillcrest Hospital out of liability for a mistake, and letting a mistake in care of a staff physician go on for 2 years.

The sale of Hillcrest Hospital was in the works to Cleveland Clinic so that any liability would have held it up, plus Dr. O'Day wanted the Directorship of the Hillcrest ER - which was something that Dr. Nice needed to 'sign off' on (and his wife on the Board of something). A big administrator from Hillcrest got a big perky job at Cleveland Clinic with the merger, and he signed the complaint against me also, knowing that Hillcrest administration had allowed Dr. Nice to care for me without consultation or referral - in a very inadequate way. My family and I do know many of the signers and that anyone at Univeristy Hospitals or Cleveland Clinic are under the 'gag' rule in this case.

Hillcrest administration knew that Dr. Nice let me try to work with an uncasted wrist fracture for over 2 weeks, while I was almost passing out. I tried to work so that I wasn't being 'obsessive' about getting a cast - I knew what the 'out' would be ie that I was impaired as I couldn't work with an uncasted fracture - which a guy would be able to do. This was a put-up, set-up job re my medical license in Ohio, and YOU know this.

Even Floyd Loop MD knows about the 'mess' and the medical mistreatment here, but he can't say anything - and he taught my brother in a cardiology fellowship. The position of Cleveland Clinic is now is that I 'asked' for bad care (Personnel Director's 'take') and was too 'friendly' or whatever - blame the woman. There's no one outside of this situatuion that would have thought me 'seductive' with multiple untreated fractures. This is just 'guy nonsense' to get out of responsibility - 'boys being boys' again as Mr. Dilling ADMITTED happened here, it's just that I didn't handle it like the Medical Board feels that I should. Guys are supposed to be MEN when they have an MD or are elected to be a State Senator/Representative = the problem is that they are still BOYS. 1.9.2009

Senator Grendell:

My CONFIDENTIAL file at the State Medical Board of Ohio has to be opened; the Board intentionally took my medical license while withholding necessary care and blood work to head off a problem for Hillcrest Hospital and the orthopedics that had tried to treat sequential fractures without any workup - not one blood test even a CBC to check for a blood dyscrasia affecting bone. Not even the life-threatening possibilities, ie malignancy, was checked or rechecked in Ohio. Carla O'Day MD knew of the 'missing' blood work - TSH, FSH, estradiol, PTH, etc, as did an ob-gyn on the Hillcrest Staff who was 'shut up' = Cassie Nowak MD. The psychologist was also shut up with threats of loss of her Hillcrest staff privileges, so that she changed her testimony many times, more times than it could be used as 'reliable,' ie whenever she was threated she had a different story.

Dr. O'Day and Hillcrest Hospital - both knew that looking at the simplified Mayo Clinic workup - which Dr. Michael Keith gave to the Ohio Board not knowing what he missed - that something, or everything, was MISSING. Even a third year medical student on clerkships would have seen that something was missing - for starters a TSH. There were several serious diagnoses being missed that would lead to more fractures if not treated = what happened = what the Board wanted (to kill me in the last 16 years?). My health was affected by lack of medical care, which the Medical Board endorsed, supported, and put out as what I deserved if I didn't admit their false case. Now you are just obstructing medical care to end this, ie treatment of the bone condition, and the truth. And I probably can't sue, as you've already noted to Tom Corrigan, but I can leave Ohio and live in Rhode Island and get my bone condition watched, treated, and improved as much as possible = what needs to be done ASAP. And I can have a life - or what is left of it. A life like you have with a familiy, a house, a job, medical coverage.

What often happens is that surgeons or orthopedics miss the MEDICAL diagnosis - they want the fractures and don't want them to stop. But Carla O'Day, with 5 kids, would have known the gynecological problems being missed here, as did Cassie Nowak MD = Dr. Nowak told me straight out the list of blood tests that I needed in her office visit but that she was 'afraid.' Someone 'got' to Dr. Nowak as in March, 1992, she refused to help me with the rest of the blood work citing trouble for her. She since retired from the practice of ob-gyn prematurely.

Now that 'confidential' file at the Board, not the contrived/edited and fabricated one given to every other State Medical Board, needs to be opened and some truth needs to be told here from the 'secret' files. There needs to be some transparency, accountability and CHANGE at the State Medical Board of Ohio. This was about liability for Hillcrest Hospital and the orthopedics who goofed big-time. Physicians have to be allowed care-to-function before taking their medical license for objecting, and there needs to be MEDICAL MISTAKE LAWS for Medical Board, hospitals and individual physicians as in 35+ other states. You are not doing your job in the Ohio legislature as legislators in other states do their job - neither are Senators Coughlin & Wagoner, or Representative Dolan (who just keeps looking for another third wife).

All the quotes that you gave to the State of California Medical Board that I didn't say need to be out of the public records and a letter to the California Board needs to say that these pages of quotes/behaviors, etc were misreported. It's not FINE; for one I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT DR. NICE'S PERSONAL HABITS and didn't ask him out ICE SKATING = those two are really truly gross accusations and poor fabrications. You got the letters because that has been my only way to protest if I suddenly fracture my hip(s) and die - there will be some record that I objected and tried to defend myself against such calumny.

Senator Grendell, Senator Coughlin, Senator Wagoner, Representative Dolan:

Look you guys need to legislatively open my confidential' file at the State Medical Board of Ohio and allow for a fair resolution - without more individualized torture of a sixth psychiatric evaluation of me for disagreeing with the wrong care and missed diagnosis - something I'd have to do for any other patient in any other state. Ohio physicians do not diagnose Hashimoto's well because it occurs in women 50:1; for every one guy there are 50 women who have it. It is an auto-immune disease and might have something to do with the industrial waste in this area who knows but it's not an infectious disease. However, you can't leave fractures uncasted for three weeks, even from Hashimoto's, while the fractured woman physician is supposed to refer to Dr. Nice, and you can't not do blood work if there are three fractures in 9 months that's not normal' for even a psychiatrist. The question that all the psychiatrists had was why there wasn't a workup rather immediately, i.e. in 1990-1. The workup took over a decade for relatively common tests to be requisitioned and performed with visible number results, and all of this happened SLOWLY, AFTER THE SUSPENSION OF MY MEDICAL LICENSE SO THAT I COULDN'T SUE THE PHYSICIANS for missing the diagnosis. They all knew that something else' was wrong but they had already goofed the fractures.

THIS 'SERIAL' PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION STUFF - TO BREAK DOWN THE PERSON'S DEFENSES SO THAT THEY WILL SAY WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO - IS NOT ALLOWED FOR EVEN TERRORISTS AT THIS TIME. And medical insurances won't pay for it; the case should have been solved with the first two evaluations or thrown out/dismissed for cheating. And most of you are lawyers and know this. You, like Mr. Dilling put it in kind of crude terms, want 'another go.' Why I am such a 'target' I don't know.

My license was taken 'prophylactically' in 1992, as the Ohio Court of Appeals noted, in any unusual intervention by the State Medical Board of Ohio and not for patient care problems for colleague-colleague interactions problems that occurred after unsatisfactory' fracture care results. The office scenes were suspect' as they occurred in the offices of the two orthopedics where the questionable care happened and as the 3 judge panel put it who knows what was going on there?' The problem: Neither orthopedic physician would officially transfer the care of my bone problems, or call the consultants that I paid to try to help, with even a brief summary or phone call and both had been asked many times by my family and I, written requests were submitted, etc. No one knows why. It wasn't just the care, it was the COVERUP.

It seemed that I had to be prevented from suing or asking my orthopedics more questions as to their 'individualized' care of me. Throughout the last years, except for recently at Cleveland Clinic, I've gotten 'care for one,' care that would never be allowed to be done to ANYONE else - to show me whose boss, or that I have to take the orthopedics or Medical Board seriously. But it has nothing to do with what the State Medical Board of Ohio is supposed to be about - bad patient care. My case has bad care in spades, bad care that the State Medical Board has said is ok' in my case because I might have an occult psychiatric problem that's not the way to handle medical mistakes. Medical mistakes on anyone should be just medical mistakes; for rules at the State Medical Board, and for medical mistake laws where the laws punish not referring the unanticipated result' instead of the mistake.

My case went ahead of perhaps THOUSANDS of potential cases at the State Medical Board of Ohio, where physicians had MULTIPLE patient complaints, because I irritated some Board Members that I would complain about their 'friend' Dr. Timothy Nice - who does awful care some of the time when he just feels like it - he's sadistic, cruel, and merciless when you fail to attend to his needs or else. And every conversation with the State Medical Board of Ohio about ending my case ends in a dispute that I have to refer to Dr. Nice.' The question is why?

Regarding the question did I get care? - which Representative Dolan has had an argument with Fr John Blazek at Gilmour about. The answer: I did not, and have not gotten 'standard' care in 17 years so far. First, the fractures were left uncasted, or badly casted, locally by Dr. Timothy Nice at Hillcrest Hospital who was fooling around sort of 'seducing' me with slow office visits and sending me referrals - where I had to get back to him daily with information on patients and have a daily interaction with him. Dr. Nice had picked me out individually from about 700 physicians on Staff at Hillcrest, and from numerous medical/family physicians, and I told him that I didn't have the experience, or interest, to be in practice with him on a daily basis. This was part of the physical/emotional stress that contributed to the fractures - and why I sought help from a psychologist and went to writing letters.

WHEN A PHYSICIAN GOES AFTER ME WITH COMMENTS ABOUT HIS WIFE, AND WANTS TO INVOLVE ME IN HIS FAMILY SITUATION, AS BOTH DRS. NICE & KEITH DID, THEN I RUN OR TRY TO DISTANCE MYSELF. At that time, I hoped to marry someone else and move away. And neither orthopedic would officially 'sign off' the case to the Cleveland Clinic - THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO BE INVOLVED IN A CAMPAIGN AGAINST ME OR TESTIFYING AT THE STATE MEDICAL BOARD = THEY CHOSE TO DO THIS. Now if I have to put this on ripoff.com, I will. Because most would understand what was going on here; that it was not my being 'seductive' and that when a relatively young attractive woman goes by herself to male physicians, it is possibly seen as an invitation.' And, at the time I was too nave about appearances; one woman physician on Staff at Hillcrest even took her husband to Medical Staff Meeting, while I took my father but that wasn't enough. During all these office visits with Dr. Nice my father was in the office next door, or some member of my staff Dr. Nice was in the office next door in the office building and still tried this seductive' stuff with his wife stopping by regularly. As Dr. Andrew Skodol put it to me, my orthopedics had about 'zero' maturity as physicians, possibly because the orthopedic training inculcates and fosters this 'immaturity' towards woman patients and colleagues women are just sexual objects to many male physicians.

Regarding the question is there a 'confidential' file or was this all a political case, to get me to a new right Ohio psychiatrist to get me out of the competition and out of life? The Ohio Court of Appeals asked for the 'confidential' complaint in 1992, Representative Trakas asked for the 'confidential' complaint in 2000 and 'something happened' and he's not 'back' in the legislature. The question is that the answer is unknown. No one has seen this file, checked that I knew the signatures, or been able to deposition the signatures or phone them for verification of why they signed a complaint against me and it's now 17 years later. The answers need to be out there, as no signer' knew that the blood wasn't done or the real facts.

The confidential' file needs to be found and opened, as apparently I can't sue' the signers anymore = what this was about. This case was about physicians getting away with destroying a woman physicians life, health, and career because she wouldn't go along with understanding' Drs. Nice and Keith, the one-on-one fracture care with experimental' castings/casts, and covering up that it didn't work = what State Medical Boards should not be about. This is not what legislators should be about hiding or sweeping under the rug either, and this case has cost the State of Ohio at least $1Million to write reports, go to Hearings and the Court of Appeals.

I am soooo glad you can not hurt any truly hurt individuals as your continued rantings prove time and time again that their decision was indeed the correct one. Please continue to entertain us with more. It's pretty funny watching a meltdown first hand.

Senator Grendell allows Dr. Nice to tell women-physicians or woman patients to come to his office for a cast when his office has no cast materials - joke for the whole office and Senator Grendell. It's like the old behaviors during residency where the male guys unprofessionally tell the woman residents to come to a patient's room, or surgery, and there is no patient or procedure - just a joke. Dr. Nice has regular patients come to the office without any way of checking vital signs - our office had to give him a stethoscope (not just a harp tape - which I give everyone to promote knowledge of this misunderstood instrument as one of the best harp teachers in the country is/was in Cleveland, Ohio). Waiting rooms are better with harp music than reggae or Bob Marley, and DEFINITELY better with some vital signs instead of smoking and horse bet sheets.

Professionalism scores in residency programs never evaluate how the guys behave to the women colleagues - just how they score on knowledge and getting along with the guys, ie the football and sex discussions that go on every morning on rounds. So the guy behaviors for women range from inviting them into the guy locker rooms for post-surgery discussions and strip-downs to just normal 'sex' jokes and abusive taunts on rounds. Even in Internal Medicine residencies, it depends on the program directors as to how much abuse goes on - even today.

At community hospitals such as Hillcrest in Mayfield Heights Ohio the treatment of women staff depends on the Chief of Staff - but even the Cleveland Clinic owning the hospital hasn't improved things much. The person in charge at Cleveland Clinic, who I spoke to at one point, allows the boys to do anything and blames the woman physician that she's there at all = a 'target' asking for target practice. As a woman physician your existence begs the crude joke. Attitudes are pretty crude in Grendell's district, even the woman drug reps try to stay away from working at Hillcrest Hospital. Senator Grendell himself can't talk just decently to you - he get bluff, crude, cuts you off, blames you for the problems. Representative Dolan just has two wives, and thinks women deserve what they get = he uses women like many prep school educated guys. And he's friends with Father John Blazek who approves.

Then Dr. Nice gets to show the woman the horse bet sheets that he's filling out, while her fracture is collapsing in a temporary splint that she had to provide, or view his getting his pants hemmed in the waiting room - he's so short that he has to have a seamstress come to the office and hem everything up in front of everyone - with his son watching too. At one point his 2 children were dragged into a Hillcrest OR to watch him do a bloody hip replacement as I heard it - the nursing staff was a bit upset. The children were 12 or less at the time = Mrs. Nice approved that. As a woman MD I had a hard time watching his bloody attempts to do surgery which sometimes left the patient hypotensive ie one back surgery that I had to help him recover the patient's BP and HCT. Dr. Nice is not a gentle surgeon, and his wife would have known this = she married him for the MD and he married her for the money as I've heard it.

Dr. Nice will finally cast your fractured wrist with the orthopedic textbook open at the page on 'how to' do this. He's not even subtle about his ignorance. Dr. Nice is still learning that you are supposed to angle the cast in slight flexion and ulnar deviation - so you get severe flexion with his strength on the cast material. Dr. Nice doesn't test grip strength of wrist fractures - he shows you how to use the instrument and measures himself in front of women patients to impress with his 60-80 lb grip. Dr. Nice will not know how to diagnose 'carpal tunnel' unless you tell him - there was no neurologic check or x-ray. You have to order your own x-rays when he tells you that he needs one. He left my wrist in carpal tunnel syndrome that he caused, had another orthopedic remove the cast and then told me there was 'nothing to do.' Dr. Suppes went along with this and called me with threats that I had to say something else about what happened. Anita Steinbergh DO says it's not 'her problem' that the male physicians in Ohio threaten the woman colleagues - just need 'aequanimitas.' Anita Steinbergh DO needs to be replaced on the Ohio State Medical Board - she is now approved by Senator Coughlin's Committee to be there until 2012 = 20 years of Anita and her cell phone and pithy comments about how woman are supposed to 'take it.'

Until the State Medical Board of Ohio and Senator Grendell write some 'rules' about male-female colleague professionalism behaviors, ie how physicians are supposed to treat colleagues sick or well, there will be no improvement in professionalism in Ohio medicine in NE Ohio. Guy MDs say anything/everything that they want to women MDs, sleep with all the staff and then go to Israel for a 'virgin' to marry, sleep with two or more colleagues on different nights of the week until one gets preggers (great public example), leave the woman MD fractures uncasted until they beg, will refuse to refer or call the Hand Surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic (woman MDs have to refer themselves), leave you driving and working with a collapsing fracture and won't order blood work on a woman patient - they don't know what to order. The woman MDs/DOs on the State Medical Board of Ohio, trained by men, don't know what a woman patient needs in terms of blood work. They don't know that a TSH is part of a thyroid profile to assess thyroid function/inflammation - they just order psychiatric evaluations instead of the blood work. It took over a decade to get someone out-of-Ohio to order a TSH. Who needs blood work in Ohio?

Senator Grendell, and his judge wife, allow women's medical care in NE Ohio to be about the worst in the nation. Other states, other State Medical Boards, and other hospital systems (Harvard Health) don't allow this abuse. Maybe they both need to watch Dr. Nice get his pants hemmed in the office or do a bloody hip replacement with blood all over the OR suite? His children watched both before 12 years.

Senator Grendell's answer to Medical Board fraud = destroy the woman physician's career for the guys (= boys). This is about THYROID problems, and psychiatric evaluations, in your Ohio district: In 2003, when you tried to set up the sixth psychiatric evaluation with Dr. Resnick, his colleague at University Dr. Fred Lafferty was refusing to treat or recognize the thyroiditis problem leaving me hypothyroid and susceptible to more fractures. In 2004, as a direct result of this negligence, the foot fractured walking on the Gilmour Academy track = soft track. My cousin will do the same thing if her thyroid problem is left untreated for a period of time = weakens the bone.

In 2003-4 Dr. Lafferty was GIVEN the microsomal antibody results from Georgetown University in 2001 and pooh-poohed them. Dr. Lafferty was told to tell Dr. Keith what he had missed and refused. And when you are CLINICALLY HYPOTHYROID, you don't feel good, and nothing is FINE so you can't say that everything is fine' to get your medical license back = what Mr. Whitehouse wants. YOU CAN'T LEAVE BABIES HYPOTHYROID IN OHIO, BUT YOU CAN LEAVE WOMAN PHYSICIANS HYPOTHYROID AND TAKE THEIR MEDICAL LICENSES FOR OBJECTING = GOVERNOR STRICKLAND'S POLICY.

What's costing all the money in Ohio is disabling women physicians for sport. My case is estimated to have cost Ohio taxpayers at least $1Million over 16 years. It has cost my family somewhere WAY OVER $200,000, and millions of dollars in unearned physician income = income which wasn't there for Ohio taxes. Do the MATH Senator Grendell, you can borrow my calculator. You are bankrupting Ohio. Representative Dolan and Senators Coughlin/Wagoner (on the Ohio Senate Health Committee) need to do the math also. How much do all these Medical Board investigations, with confidential' complaints, cases which go on for years with no discovery, cost the State of Ohio? How much has my case cost = question for Anita Steinbergh DO or Mr. Whitehouse? It appears that no one has a calculator in Columbus.

My thyroid problem, like my cousin's, weakens bone structure. And my thyroid condition was untreated from 1992 (probably 1991) to 2001 because the State Medical Board of Ohio put out that this was exaggeration' without any blood work. THE OHIO STATE MEDICAL BOARD DOESN'T HAVE TO GET BLOOD WORK LAY MEMBERS, LAWYERS AND MEDIOCRE PHYSICIAN MEMBERS CAN'T UNDERSTAND IT. Stupid State Senators or Representatives = mine = don't understand blood work but everyone understands psychiatric' of course.

Currently there are no Ohio Members with psychiatric training on the State of Ohio Medical Board, but that doesn't stop them from ordering serial psychiatric evaluations on physicians who object to unstandard care, ie psychiatric diagnosing and treating by a State Medical Board that doesn't have the license for this. Currently there are no Members on the State Medical Board of Ohio from Cleveland Clinic = where I should have gotten a workup BEFORE the State Medical Board of Ohio voted in an emergency secret' session to suspend my medical license. The Cleveland Clinic has the only series of women patients with my endocrine problem in this area = the only experience. The Medical Board couldn't wait a day for the blood work as that would have thrown out their case = saying something was psychiatric' that was metabolic.'

Currently the Ohio State Medical Board, unlike any OTHER state medical board in the country, can take a physician's license without allowing the physician CARE-TO-FUNCTION; for medical problems that are then labeled psychiatric' because the woman physician objects, gets angry after huge abuses, or has to disagree and gets beaten up in an office. Dr. Andrew Skodol brought up this POINT in his testimony in 1995-6, and wasn't given an answer as to why this is allowed to go on, why Ohio physicians don't have to order blood work or understand and know how to interpret it. Not everything in Ohio is psychiatric.'

Thyroid problems are common in your district Senator Grendell. The reasons are unclear, but at least myself and one other woman physician who went to CWRU Medical School have the SAME thyroid problem, we take the SAME dose of synthroid and went to the SAME high school = too much SAME. And Oprah has the SAME thyroid problem but she gets treated and doesn't have an invented psychiatric' problem to cover = she still has her network job and income. And you don't have a psychiatric problem that only presents in the offices of the orthopedic physicians who made the mistakes.

You need to get the EPIDEMIOLOGY on the thyroid problems in your district as well as the VITAMIN D problems in your district. But University Hospitals not ordering the tests won't help, and mistreating women physicians who object to save themselves won't help this. There is NO psychiatric problem in my case except that I reacted' to not getting standard care, leading to multiple fractures which Ohio orthopedics couldn't treat as the bones couldn't heal without thyroid hormone. Lack of thyroid hormone over a long period of time (probably over a decade in my case), can make someone have a lot of symptoms. TSH has to be checked before you take a woman physician's medical license with even chronic fatigue symptoms but Anita, Lance, and Carla didn't know this in between digital ring tones or gym workouts.

You need to return my medical license, and let me go back to doing the excellent care of patients that I was doing before multiple hypothyroid fractures derailed me. There's not one psychiatric test done outside of Ohio that indicates any tendency to mental problems or further evaluations. Psychiatry shouldn't be practiced differently in Ohio than in any other state, evaluations by national experts who write the Psychiatry DSM - should be recognized in Ohio. But the problem is that in YOUR DISTRICT, thyroid problems, bone problems, fracture problems and psychiatry are practiced VERY DIFFERENTLY from the REST OF THE COUNTRY. The reason is your negligence in doing your job; you don't require standards of care from certain medical institutions in your district and you don't allow the Cleveland Clinic a say' on the State Medical Board of Ohio. Anita Steinbergh DO has been re-appointed for 20 years instead of giving the Membership to a Cleveland Clinic DO or MD. There are plenty of DOs to choose from on the Staff of the Cleveland Clinic; you don't have to keep appointing the SAME one.

The State Medical Board in Ohio has nothing better to do than order psychiatric evaluations on woman physicians who disagree with Dr. Nice - whose own wife disagrees with/doesn't understand him per his office staff. The State Medical Board should not be used to solve physician-physician disagreements over care standards, to get rid of a physician's 'competition' or 'negligence'/malpractice problems, or as a way for patients to get medical records, consultations and/or referrals (= that latter is part of the physician job description and should be a legal fine). Dr. Nice, like every other physician in Ohio, should have to send his medical records on patients, refer women patients for a second opinion and consult with local experts, i.e. CCF, on rare diagnoses in women patients BEFORE campaigning to defraud the woman physician-patient of her medical license = common sense.

Maybe someone should explain to the State Medical Board of Ohio what a TSH (=thyroid stimulating hormone) is and that you can't just order a thyroxine level and call it a 'day' = the Steinbergh-Talmadge-Whitehouse-Dilling fallacy.

We will just have to disagree. Unlike you, I cannot bring myself to harass an apparently

mentally handicapped individual just for fun, bringing up her past with reports generated by

people who POSSIBLY have had specific self serving reasons to say particular things.

When a person is mentally ill, it means just that! They very well may not be able to control

what they are saying or doing. Just beating on them for 'sport', which is obviously what you

are doing, is very sadistic and very cruel.

Maybe someday you will finally 'mature', grow up, and think "why in the world did I even care

if Rita, who may be mentally handicapped, posted those things? What made me think I needed to

I have read most of the information on the Ohio medical board site. I believe that you were a 'victim'.

I believe that all of this started when you were not given proper tests for Thyroid function. I believe Thyroid function, and parathyroid function, help to control the amount of Calcium in the bones and in the blood. If there is too much calcium in the blood, then it is not in the bones, and Osteoporosis will result, causing easy fractures and broken bones.

This could be very traumatic and damaging to any physician and would threaten their career.

The Thyroid diagnostic error seems to have started the sequence that ended your career.

It is highly likely this could also cause severe emotional stress and anger. It appears that you were doing fine before the fractures happened.

I believe you probably should not have written so many letters etc, but I know you were probably emotionally mixed up.

That is the way I see it right now.

We have a tremendous need for registered nurses in Texas and other medical personnel as well.

YOU HAVE A TRANSPORTABLE CAREER THAT IS VERY MUCH IN DEMAND.

Today was the second time that Senator Grendell has misused state troupers to come to my parent's house and find me -that I'm not to contact him. He's got the lawyer's number but can't pick up the phone and it's a state law issue. Well it's a state law issue where the law is broken for male physicians and not female physicians, allowing complete ruin of women physician's lives and careers for a 'confidential' file. Dr. Nice gets his file courtesy of Senator Grendell, and Senaotr Grendell can't even READ the lawyer's no that I've given on every email - he has to send state troupers - which don't belong being used for state issues of Senator Grendell's breaking the law. And they come to the door when you are in exercise gear and threaten you and this is not an issue where I should be threatened - the file needs to be opened at the State Medical Board which alleges that I have whatever illness that keeps me from saying "YES" to Dr. Nice and going along with the boys at Hillcrest Hospital; that keeps me from 'understanding Dr. Nice as his wife doesn't' - should be interesting reading. These are my medical records supposedly (written by a physician who took care of me and completely botched the care - comflict of interest) - which have been altered, fudged, labs lost, tests lost, made up dates of care, seduction scenes made out ie that I was asking for sex with 2 uncared for wrist fractures. The corruption continues and Senator Grendell wants to be Attorney General and apply the law for his friends with State TROUPER help. The State Trouplers told me to call the FBI - and say what just exactly - that a state law broken for the guys has led to 16 years of threats? For years now Senator Grendell has told me to lie that it was my CME that led to my license suspension - but I can send thousands of CME credits to Columbus and no answer. There's never an end to this because of faulty state laws which don't agree with most other state laws. I think that Senator Grendell should answer the questions, he doesn't want me at any of his speeches so that I ask any question even if invited by the person paying Senator Grendell. Please answer the questions, please let me have a life. He can have kids, health care, a job - and women physicians if they complain about ANYTHING that the men do to them can't have anything. My body was donated to science the minute I entered medical school. Please help someone.

Look I'm not responsible as the physician-patient for BAD ORTHOPEDIC CARE in Ohio, and maybe you need to see that on the Internet. I reported what happened to me so that I could get my medical records (which were being edited), get the orthopedics to sign-off, and get the orthopedics to stop lying so that the experts could do what they could do. You know all these things, and that the Board CHEATED many times in this case - which should have dismissed the case years ago.

But there are no RULES at the State Medical Board of Ohio - courtesy of the Ohio State Legislature. While Dr. Nice and Keith pretended to do care the experts wouldn't take over the case. There was no cause for the State Medical Board to 'go after' me for care that fell far below any standard. Should all fractures be left uncasted until they become excrescent and hugely swollen? Maybe check with your Judge wife on that. One wrist was casted STRAIGHT without reduction with no stockingette padding in Hillcrest ER as Dr. Nice was renting out his office that afternoon for $ and eating pizza in the ER.

The other wrist was casted after 5 days, excrescent, without padding, without x-ray and in extreme FLEXION developed carpal tunnel syndrome which Dr. Nice ignored - he couldn't diagnose it. Another physician took the cast off, but wouldn't take over the mess. Then there was no cast for 2 weeks, then Dr. Keith tried an 'experimental' cast that didn't work - to my knowledge it has never worked. So I got wrongly casted, experimentally casted, and then told that there was nothing to do and that the orthopedics wouldn't help me with the tendon problems. The Mayo Clinic saved the R hand tendons, alarmed as what passes for orthopedic care in Ohio.

Mayo Clinic wanted me to tell them why I went near the Ohio orthopedics - who seemed incompetent by the results and condition of the hands. Then whatever blood tests were ordered in Ohio were never processed or never seen - probably because they were abnormal and put in the round file. The the whole case was SOLD to the State Medical Board so that they would be responsible, when the missed diagnosis was found; when why I was fracturing was finally figured out it would be the State's malpractice then.

Doesn't Anita Steinbergh & company see this? The State of Ohio 'fell' for this; the Members just don't see a FAKE. There was no blood work in Ohio before the license was taken that had any numerical result that I saw - Carla O'Day MD knew this and pushed the case through without due process as she does everything. There's no indication for more evaluations of me that I disagreed with the above, nor to justify the blantant lies of Drs Nice & Keith/Suppes/O'Day/Hillcrest Hospital - they LIED and every knows it and the Board bought it.

All that my family and I are asking is that the impairment case, for disagreeing about my own lack of care, be dismissed - it doesn't fit any Ohio statute and you can't ask insurances to pay for evaluations because you disagreed with care that cost them EXTRA MONEY for the mistakes - you are supposed to prevent medical fraud by disagreeing or making much of bad care before it happens or continues. Medical Mutual and Medicare are stopping paying for physician mistakes - they want the legislators, physicians, hospitals, and Medical Boards to stop the mistakes or be penalized by paying for them.

My medical license and all privileges needs to be returned so that a physician friend in RI can recheck my skills and get my RI license returned ASAP as the bone condition is not great. In other states, the Board is made to pay damages - which now are in the 7-figures - when they take a license not allowing the physician care-to-function. Maybe legal licenses should be taken after leaving lawyer fractures uncasted and not allowing any blood work when something is obviously wrong. No blood work was done which would have prevented 5 more fractures.

This is not a Dr. Resnick case and he knows it; CWRU/University Hospitals, of which he is an integral part, goofed. It's malpractice and a false case at the Board - I had NO PATIENT COMPLAINTS OR BAD CARE PROBLEMS. Dr. Lafferty can't diagnose thyroid problems. I'm not impaired, I've accepted the bad results and the horrible suffering of months of healing - but I shouldn't be punished or disciplined any further that I disagreed and asked the Medical Board to review the problems and improve the care. This needs to end and the Medical Board and Senator Grendell seem unable to find a way to resolve and correct the Board's mistakes.

This isn't aequanimitas, it was harassment, negligence, the boys being boys and having other things on their minds during patient care times - what Senator Grendell does at times - everyone caused a mess and walked away leaving me and my family to pay. None of that was my patient care - which is all the question that the Board is supposed to address - nor my personality - which all the patients like. Please help this end as I can't keep telling jobs that I 'just didn't do my CME.' It's corruption, fraud, nobody reading the files at the Board, partying in Columbus. I'd like to UPDATE saying this is resolved, and you are making some improvements in health care policy in Columbus.
