STEVE PANNELL, CON ARTIST TO THE ELDERLY TORMENTS ELDERLY VICTIM AFTER THE CON Bainesville Georgia

Steve Pannell conned my frail 80year old mother out of thousands of dollars for 3 projects. Two were left unfinished and one was never started. He gave her confusing documents and required money in cash. I have previously reported this on this site.

After I got involved and made the initial posting on this site, he made a very hostile phone call to me.

Since that time he has continued to call my mother, sometimes twice a day stating that he was coming to finish the work and would "settle up" . He would even say " we are on our way." He left her back deck with no rails , an endangerment to her and no steps to get down into the yard.

At times my mother has wanted to believe him and would get her hopes up. She lives on social security and borrowed money for this project. Mr. Pannell told her that her house would fall in if she did not have foundation work done. He received 6K in cash for this and has not been back since. The foundation claim has been evaluated by another party and found to be false.

Because Mr Pannell is not the professional contractor that he claimed to be and has no professional insurance, my mother would be liable for any injury a worker might recieve on the job, and because these phone calls have been tormenting to my mother, she told him today to not come back to her home and to refund her money. Of course he had no intention of coming back anyway! It just gave her some peace that the calls would stop.

Mr. Pannell has victims lilke my mother all over the southeast. Many have been afraid to come forward. This guy is a pitiful coward who takes advantage of the weak, a grotesque Wimp. He enjoys having ongoing contact with his victims so he can see them suffer. No one need be afraid of him.

I urge anyone who has had any dealings with this poor excuse of a man to come forward! There is a blog dedicated to his cons.

I also urge anyone interested to join me in efforts to create laws to make these kinds of offenses aagainst the elderly criminal. (((ROR REDACTED)))
