Stroops Fitness Club/ Shon Harker Lie - Cheat - and Steal to get ahead Clearfield Utah

Normally I would never take the time to write a review of anything - good or bad. But my interaction with the owner of the Stroops Club in Clearfield has been so bad I had to write about it - I hope others become aware and stay as far away from that hell hole as possible.

The owner is Shon Harker, he comes across as a nice enough guy - that however is a total front, my impression of this guy after interacting with him is that he would cut open your stomach if he thought you swallowed a dime. This guy is so cheap and so shady I am personally surprised he is still in business. I have spoken with several former Stroops Club members and they ALL feel the same way - whew, its nuts!!

The club is a joke, an old vacant warehouse that smells like a high school vocational shop, unwilling to assit staff members, sub par personal trainers, etc.

I had a billing issue where I had been over billed three months in a row, I tried to resolve the problem for over a month. Nobody was willing to step in and help, so I went to Shon Harker the owner. I explain to him my issue, and ask if he can help - this guy goes into a long drawn out explanation about his financial troubles, how much the lights and power cost, payroll, taxes, insurance, equipment costs, on and on and on!!! Listen, I tell him, I just need to have my bill adjusted otherwise I will cancel my membership and spend my money somewhere else. I was assured that it would be taken care of, and the over charges refunded.

Well, that was a month ago - still nothing!! Now I cant get Shon Harker on the phone, no one seems to know what is going on over there with my situation - its a total joke!! They dont know anything about customer service at all, my expierence has been horrible - what a scam!! Keep my money Mr. Harker, obviously you need it to pay your light bill.

I have since joined Performax Health Club - the difference is in incredible! The facility is gorgeous, the staff members are professional and courteous, the club is always clean, and the bill correctly - what a relief!!

Stay away from Stroops!!! The place is run by a bunch of idiots!!!
