I recently sold tickets to a phish new years eves concert ticket at MSG and Stubhub notified me telling me the buyer did not get in and they had already charged my credit card and paid the buyer back. They did this without contacting me or looking into it at all. I called them and spoke to a Lena H. who informed me to get a scan report from MSG, but MSG will not give out a scan report. I have sold other tickets on Stubhub and never had a problem, but they don't believe me. They tell me why would the buyer lie to us...I can tell you why because he got a free concert ticket. I now know I can buy any ticket off Stubhub for MSG and after I gain entry contact Stubhub and tell them I didn't get in and I will get my money back. Free concerts for everyone off of Stubhub. It is really that easy. All you have to do is contact the concert hall prior and make sure they don't give out scan reports. Happened to me!!!

Same thing is happening to Me right now.

AUTHOR: Lee - (Canada)

POSTED: Monday, April 04, 2011

My husband has been selling tickets on Stub Hub for years and is a very responsible seller and has never had any problems with the tickets he has sold before.  We recently sold tickets to and Edmonton Oilers hockey game. These tickets are our season seats and have been for a number of years.  The person that bought the tickets from us is now saying that they were not permitted entrance into the event. Stub Hub refunded the money immediately without even questioning the situation.

We called the season ticket office and they confirmed to us that the tickets were indeed used and that there are many things they would do in a situation where tickets would appear to be already in use when someone comes to the door and tries to scan their tickets. Especially if they are season seats.  They will always look into seeing if the tickets have been double printed and they will always question the person as to whether or not they have already been in the building that night.  The guy that bought the tickets is claiming that he was refused entrance and that the person at the door confiscated the tickets.  So of course he has no way of proving that he didn't get in.

Just for your FYI, they NEVER take the tickets from the person that is entering the stadium.  We don't know what to do now as Stub Hub is pretty much just going to let this guy get away with this.  I can't believe that they don't have some sort of protection for the seller.  So anyone can just buy tickets from a seller on Stub Hub, and then claim they didn't get entry to the event. Then you just get your money back and you've seen a free event!!  This is rediculous!!!

I resent the fact that Stub Hub would treat us like criminals and assume that we would even think to rip someone off for tickets. But that's exactly what they do. They didn't seem to think even for a minute that the real rip off artist is the guy that bought the tickets and he's ripping us off and really it makes Stub Hub look very bad.  I won't be using them again so they will also be losing any potential profit that they have received from us in the past.

Free Concert Tickets from Stubhub !

AUTHOR: AreYouFukinKiddingMe - (United States of America)

This same thing happened to me and stubhub is going to screw me over.

I have been selling tickets on stubhub for years and have sold well over $100,000 worth of ticket without ever a single problem, until now. I sold 40 tickets to a show new years day, all forty tickets were purchased by me from ticketmaster and all but the two that I used were sold on stubhub. Low and behold one customer who purchased two tickets called and said they were denied admission, so stubhub charges me back the sale price without any sort of documentation from the venue or customer.

Why would 2 of the 40 tickets I sold not work? Why are they going to believe a onetime customer over a long standing high volume seller with a perfect track record?

The buyer got free tickets to a concert and stubhub is about lose $20,000+ a year in commissions from my sales and purchases.Great business plan you losers!
