Sullivan Tire Misdiagnoses and Surprise Storage Fee Portland, Maine

Had a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was dumping oil out the back of engine compartment. Had it towed to Sullivan Tire in Portland. Asked them to diagnose it. Told us that the rear main seal was gone, that the car would require an new engine and that it was not worth it. We intended to junk the car based on the advice given. Luckily another mechanic looked at it and found that the oil sending unit, a sensor on the back of the engine had burst, it was a 200 dollar fix.

To top it off, my girlfriend gets a call about an hour before they close telling her that they have a storage fee, I don't remember how much but somewhere between 40-80 dollars and that she need it to pay it by the time they closed. Luckily they did not charge us for their "diagnostics" but we came very close to junking a car that is now running fine.
