I bid on and won a 32GB MP3 MP4 Player with touch screen, camera and radio The product came from an eBay seller listed as XIE-518. The product came in the mail and after trying out the options one of the games would not work. The radio would not pick up local frequencies even though I set it to United States. That was my first clue something was wrong.

I went on eBay to contact the seller and had a message the same day that eBay had terminated the seller because of potential "phish" or "phishing attempt," Phishers use methods to try to get your personal information."

I was unable to contact the seller except the return address on the package mailed from HONG KONG. EBay would not assist me in getting any contact information and sent me an email that said.

It was not what I wanted to hear. EBay is allowing counterfeiting groups to sell fake electronics, cameras, flash drives, MP3 ect.... and are doing nothing about it.

I found that the 32GB MP3 player I bought as advertised was only a 2GB programmed to scam me.

EBay and PayPal are making thousands and most likely millions of these fakes and are victimizing the uneducated. They are ripping us off and we are paying them money to do it.

When caught by someone who fell prey to the fraud, they turn around and victimize the victim. eBay and PayPal help the perpetrators commit fraud and steal money from buyers by putting the burden of proof on them, the victim and then demanding the return of the evidence to the criminal. (That they will just repackage and sell again on eBay and now eBay and PayPal has made double the money on the crime's evidence. Not to mention snaring another unsuspecting victim and destroying evidence.)

I contacted eBay again and was advised them of the fake product and in the following message they confirmed to me that they protect the criminals. They say members but if a member commits a crime against another they should not be protected...

I then filed an expedited claim with PayPal. I was sent a message that the seller is offering a partial refund and should I not accept they could side with the seller and I will get nothing. I know in America and civilized countries that it is innocent until proven guilty, but the facts are clear. They have had hundreds of claims from others, My test results of the flash drive in MP3 player are clear and verified and eBay had already removed the member for potential fraud. Now PayPal is actually allowing them to offer only a partial refund for a fake and potentially punish me because I fell victim to the fraud being perpetrated but the counterfeit schemers and eBay turning a blind eye. They want me to still pay for being a victim They obviously think it is fair to make me pay for counterfeit merchandise and make me a willing party to the criminal activity.

The eBay seller Xie-518 has multiple accounts under different names and there are others who are selling the same products currently on eBay that fakes. eBay is aware of the problem and is doing nothing. It is a shame that they can get away with making money on these illegal schemes and allow the Rip-Offs to continue.

Not only are they on eBay but a flyer in my package touted them being a eBay PowerSeller and gave a web store of ANYTS group. I went to that site and it id loaded with fakes too

I hope that something can be done about this international crime and RIPOFF. But more importantly we need to have consumer awareness. There are may mole hills we are all fighting against in our yards but the fact of the matter is, it is the same mole creating them It has got to stop!
