Sunset Engineering Construction Alejandro Merlano, Marsela Merlano Osorio, Fabio Osorio, Alejandro Osorio, Sunset Building Solutions Horrible Contractors and Engineers Miami, Florida

I contracted Alejandro Merlano for the design and construction of my home. Big mistake. I was sold a bag of goods. I was told he was an engineer. Yea! Whatever. The guy knows how to draw on CAD. That's about it. He seems to be an engineer in Colombia. However, upon looking into him and his company. He is not an engineer in Florida or the United States. He uses some outside wash-up engineer to sign his drawings. Later he uses his Contractors lic. to B.S. you into he is a one stop shop. He doesn't even have employees. There all just family. The four of them. I have come to find out that they have come under massive financial problems due to the fact they cannot complete on of many jobs that have taken on. I have filed a formal report with the BBB. I suggest you do also. Take a moment and look up there company there. I believe they have a C- rating. it should be and F. Never the less, I am out a ton of money. I do have a list of empty promises and bull to go with that. I don't understand how they do what they say theyre going to do with no remorse. There are no values here. It's all smoke and mirrors. I have just found out that this guy is also in the Army. We have sent a letter to the Army and hopefully they will also react. here is the information for them:

I strongly suggest that you inform them of all his miss conduct or unprofessional activity.  If he was in uniform when you meet him, please make sure that you mention this in your letter. He always says the same thing. "As an officer of the Army, I always do the right thing". O.K.......what a joke. As far as Marsela, good luck. She is above and better than everyone. She can't even speak English. yet she is also an owner. She says and says the men are  on their way. They never come and she always has an excuse. This company is a joke. Her brother is the foreman. o.k!!!!  Another Colombian that can't speak English. Yet he runs the job sites. All the sub-contractors that they use don't speak much English either. Not to mention no licenses nor insurance. Yet these guys are exempt by the state. So let's get this right. You contract them. Someone gets hurt. Guess what? Your (homeowner) paying any and all medical claims. This is wrong. I have also filed a complaint with the State of Florida Office of Professional & Business Regulations. I have worked too hard for my money for them to come and abuse of me.
