Super 8 Motel motel hotel pet fee racket Winchester Virginia

I stayed with my dog in Super 8 Motel for 5 days. I had very good relations with the staff during my stay. The woman that was usually at the front desk said she liked my dog. My dog never barked or made any problems at all with any guests while in the room or going to and from the room. My dog is very well behaved and very clean. When I get my credit card bill, there was an extra $25.00 charge. I called the motel. She claimed that my dog peed on the bed and carpet. I insisted that it is not true. The only thing left behind was some dog hair needing vaccuum. She said dog hair is not a problem, but that they had to replace a matress due to a big yellow stain. I told her that this whole thing is an absolute lie by this motel to get $25.00 from pet owners as they come through the motel. SHe claimed that I am the only one in a year that they charged this to.

Has anyone out there been a victim of fees for damages that have been fabricated by a motel? In the future I will have a manager check my room and personally sign my copy of the bill agreeing that there is no damage. However, is there anything that can be done about this past fee? I would like to know if there is a way to find out all dog owners that stayed at this motel in the last few years, and then ask them if they also were given fees and told that they are the 'only one in a year'.
