Ted Robbins Construction Unfinshed Business Crossville Tennessee

I filed a lawsuit in small claims court in the amount of $23,666.  I chose that amount because this builder claims to be a man of God. I'm left wondering which God. Attached is the receipt from Putnam County. Oddly enough, this man of God, has avoided process service since I filed on 2/14/2017.  Why not come to court and show the judge your holy aura...?

Later when I called for plumbing work under warranty, first 30 days, his plumber just showed up 2 times. First time I was on the street in my car full of the cheap carpeting (that he put in the house). He wanted me to drop what I was doing so he could do the work? I had to rip out the carpeting in the first month because it was so cheap it made me sick.

 Spent almost 2 thousand more to redo the floors in 2 rooms (in the first month). The carpeting company he used was surly & refused to refund anything & Robbins was no help either. Second time the plumber just showed up again. I reminded him that I told him the last time to make an appointment as I live in a rural area & didn't want him to make a trip for nothing.

Asked for his business card & he just got in his truck & drove away like a child, uh.. if a child could drive.  Really bizarre behavior from these fellows. No, I'm not part of the marriage cult. Nor am I the kind who can be shamed into signing that 'contract'. What does that have to do w/ building a house for me when I'm paying cash? Seems to be an issue for them.

How about minding your business (literally) & delivering what was promised.

When  I clicked on updat your report, it took me to rebuttal every time. Every time I would call R. Robbinbs from FLorida he would talk righ tover me w/o trying to find out why I was calling. I built a detached garage palen because I have extreme environmental sensitivities.  He & his subs were more interested in why I was single & paying cash for a house than what type of HVAC system I wasnt in a house I WAS PAYING FOR.

I tried to tell him several times to let me talk to his cabinet guy & HVAC guy; but instead he would talk righ tover me repeating the same update over & over again until he wore me down. At some point I realized I made the wrong decision & had to ride it out best I could so I'd have a place to stay. My house finally sold in FLorida & when I came around to check on thngs he'd leave as soon as I'd arrive.

Beginning of March I gave him a second installment & he ran around the corner to start a different house wheil lying to me about the status of my house & the sub contractor availability. We were ready for the stone mason. He said the guy was ties up for several weeks. At one point the only one on the job was his brother. So I researched building permits in this area & found where his other build was. Went there to find him & the mason putting in the foundation. This cost me another nonth at the rental & he kept me in th dark as to what the heck was going on so I couldn't plan on what type of lodging to secure & for how long.

What I had was an overpriced rental that was making me sick. I would have dumped it for something better had I been informed as to what was goind on. All I got was one lie after another & I had to worry about this cheesy rental being rented out from under me as the season here was kicking in. He claims to have no internet to contact him on. So he launches into a it's your word agains mine as there is no email trail to provide anyone. And yet, when I ermailed his architect that I was thinking of putting some of the funds in escrow due to the messed up skylight, he ran right out on a saturday & burned trash & scrap wood that I set aside as well as threatening to keep my off my own property.

Since he was holding the house hostage & I was essentially homeless, I had no way to negotiate his mistake on the slylight in earnest. I was basically at his mercy & he told me he would not take money off the price of the house. Rather, he said he would tear it all out & put the slylight in the right place. They've built this same kitchen over & over again for years. And yet this is the only one where the skylight is off by 2 feet.

I had no choice but to negotiate from a compromised position & tell him he could just put one in the master BR at his cost as compensation. When in fact, I did not want that & he even put that one where HE wanted it. I just wanted him to finish the job at that point & be done w/ them as they were more interested in my personal life & making disparaging comments about my health & trying to shame me for some reason because I'm single.

From the architect to the finish of the house & had to tell them over & over I didn't want a microwave or dishwasher in the house & it was like I was speaking another language or asking them to do a child sacrifice or something. Forget about trying to get the cabinets or furnace I wanted in this house, despite having told him over & over what I wanted or to let me speak to the contractor before doing those things. Single guys or MGTOW should stay away from this guy. He's more interested in your personal life than what going in your house or if your skylight is installed correctly.

There was no final walk through, just threatening demeanor & a hasty exit. Here is a pic of athe way a heat vent was left.
