This is about a company called Telatron of Erie, PA where I am presently working as a LSR. I am at a loss as to why this company is still in operation after breaking all the Federal, OSHA, and Labor rules. I can understand the Labor rules, as there are none for them to adhear to.

We are not given any specific break time. We get 3 minutes paid time for every hour we work. When we go to the bathroom, it is is deducted from it, or when we go for a coffee, or lunch break it is taken off. So in reality, we get no free break time.

We are not allowed to wear sandals, or toeless shoes, sneakers, or show our arms out. We are sent home for this. In the heat of the summer the air condition is off, but we have to wear stockings or socks. If we don't we are sent home.

We are not allowed to put our handbags on the desks, we have to put them on the filthy floor that has never been swept since I have beer there two years now. We cannot have pen or paper in our possession. We cannot take our cell phones in the building, even if its turned off.

If someone say something about you, you are called in HR and sent home on suspension. You are not given a chance to explain what happened, even if you have witnesses to the incident. THE ASSES DON'T CARE! They think they are God, especially people such as Dianne, Christina and the others.

One of the few good ones there are people such as Christine Simon. She's honest and fair. I cannot say that of the others. The younger, new girls have not been indoctrinated as to how to treat us as yet. They are still nice to us when we go into HR

We need a union in there, but if you use union in your vocabulary, you will be out the door in a heartbeat.
The way it is now, they can do whatever the like to employees, and yet continue to be named the -----company to work for in Erie. I wonder if the nominting committe knows about the real Telatron, the "Hellatron" or n**i campus that you are not allowed to even visit anyone in your car in the parking lot.

The place stinks, literally. I see the way they treat employees like dogs that are begging for a bone. These employees have no other choices, they need these jobs. These inexcusable so called bosses don't give a hoot for these poor people.

We are expected to produce apps., but how can we do that when they are using the same list over and over, only changing the names, so we always get wrong numbers, and feel the wrath of these consumers when we call them.

We are abused to the fullest by these consumers, and we can never give a rebuttal. We are supposed to take it and say "thank you" for cursing my mother and children.

I feel for these consumers who are so upset at times because we keep on calling them, even though they asked to be taken off our call list. Telatron does not adhere to the requests. I have spoked to people who has asked to be put on the list over six months ago. This is breaking FTC rule, but who cares?

We have to read this Federal Disclosure for the DNC request. Bull----! There is no such thing. I called and talked to the FTC office, and was told there is NO SUCH DISCLOSURE! This is Telatron's fabrication of a rule. If one do not read that disclosure, he/she is subject to termination.

There is this place they call..Development for people who does not produce. It is just a place to send you so that they do not have to pay for the apps one produced before going there. Once you are in development, you do not get paid A and B payments, and they change dates on these apps so that it looks like you took these apps. while in development. This way you get NOTHING!

They rob you of your time when you come in to work. I am always five minutes off, or somethimes more. Think of this..700 times 5 minutes every day is money Telatron does not have to pay, and employees lose in their weekly paycheck.


If one were to take a survey, they will find 110 percent of its employees hate it there. They are humiliated in the presence of other employees by made to feel like asses. The real asses are the management team. Forget about the Covatos, he went to jail for embezzling money from the bank where he worked. This is public records.

I hope that someone has the guts to have this comapany investigated very soon. They DO HAVE SOMETHIG TO HIDE!

  Hello all I used to work for telatron and this person is right that company comletely sucks big time. They have no work ethics and don't care about their employees at all. The person who wrote this is right about everything. Its all true. Also for those people who still work there you should be ashamed of your self for working for criminals. There's other jobs out there with good morals and that don't rip employees off. As for that person who said thats tahts the only job there your an idiot. Wake up cause soon taht whole company is going down and telatron is not gonna give a darn about anyone who works there at all. Good luck to all thats there but if i were you find a new job quick cause that whole company is going under...

No open toed shoes for a good reason. No one wants to look at anothers dirty feet, lobbed off toes,infected toe nails and other gross problems that most people don't SEE a problem with! IF you don't see a problem then go stand outside the major insurance building ( 6th&french)and see what those people drag into work.
You will be blessed too have a STUPID dress code! In the summer The air conditioner is always on the repair men are always there in the summer, the problem is poorly placed vents! The floors are kept very clean we have a great housekeeping staff. The Covattos paid for the wrong, they are always improving the buildings. We always have pizza and donuts in Main on Sundays when the Cafe is closed free of charge. WE are not forced to work any Holidays, Our employers know what is is like to have ill kids at home and not have day care Glen Do you have kids are you a single parent? Build a bridge and get over it or get out! You dont know what you have till you work elsewhere

hello, i am responding to your report that you left reguarding telatron. i would just like to start out by asking you where you think this report is going to get you. if you do not like how they conduct buisness why dontyou leave. o because you dont have another job right?? " I am at a loss as to why this company is still in operation" well you possibly have not thought in in advance as to if the company would go out of buisness. yes i know it is hard, but if telatron goes out of buisness, you and over 700 other people will be out of jobs!

this my friend is called a dress code, many buisnesses have it, they would not be a respectable business if they had their employees dress like hussies

first of all you do not know what the covattos do for their employees. i work 3rd shift and i can not say how many times i have seen mr covatto working all night, then coming early in the morning. they reward us with free lunches, free prizes, and they are truly wonderful people... what more do you want!?!?!

if you dont like it quit, and you are right i dont know why you are still there. somebody with such a negative attitude towards life shouldnt be in a company like this. they dont deserve to be.

it truly puzzles me how somebody who has basically no break would have time to visit someone out in their car.. hmm

well i love telatron, the people that work there, and the owners. if this is "hell" then i cant wait to see what heaven is going to be like.

The United States vs. Alfred D. Covatto/Joyce M. Covatto

Upon research of the owners of Telatron Mrkt Corp in Erie, Pa., it is proven that both of the Covattos were both indicted of Bank Fraud. The indictment was filed on April 22nd 1987. Joyce Covatto was found guilty of Bank Fraud charges stemming from First United National Bank of Fryburg, Pa for the sum of $21,683.83 and was given 5 years of Federal Probation. Joyce Covatto was oredered to pay full restitution on 1/24/90. She was released fron Federal Probation 9/14/92. Alfred Covatto was sentenced to 2 years of Federal Prison and taken into custody by the Federal Marshalls/Committment order dated 9/7/88 upon which he was ordered to pay back to First United National Bank of Fryburg,Pa, the sum of $18,867.00, not including the court cost and filing fees of both indictments. If anyone chooses to challenge this report they can contact the Federal Courthouse in Erie, Pa., Located on 7th and State, criminal record number 87-7 Erie Felony 1528. On both indictments count (1) Ct 1 18 U.S.C. 1344 & 2 Bank fraud CTS 2 Thru 53 18 U.S.C. 656 & 2 Misapplication of bank funds of bank officer charged to Mr. Covatto. (2)Ct 1 18 U.S.C. 1344 & 2 Bank fraud CTS 13 thru 53 U.S.C. 656 & 2 Misapplication of bank funds by bank officer. These are the counts of charges against Joyce Covatto. Date of earliest offenses: January 1984, Joyce: U.S.C.A. 88-3550 Alfred Covatto U.S.C.A. 88-3617.
Copies of indictments can also be found at the Federal Court House at 633 U.S. Post Office and Court House, Pittsburgh Pa 15219.
These are felony charges of bank fraud that can be proven and are open for public record.
I am a current employee and want to know how with felony indictment charges, can the Covattos deal with bank companies, credit card companies, and federal student loan companies given these felony charges and indictments against them? Then they have the audacity to fire employees for willful misconduct, misrepresentation as well as not checking criminal records upon hiring of future employees or current employees. These employees are dealing with Social Security numbers, birth dates, credit card numbers as well as their PIN numbers to make transactions for the customers. Is it because they have felony charges of their own and wish not to deal with the chance of bringing attention to themselves or risking the chance of getting caught still committing fraud through this company and its employees. How would the clients feel about dealing with a compnay that has been indicted of the charges in Federal Court? These are serious charges and should be dealt with accordingly to prevent further mishandling of funds through the Covattos proven prior to the opening of this business. Not to mention this is on public record for everyone to research. They also claim to have strict security with Telatron as to where nothing can be sent out the company so explain why an email between 2 supervisors sexual encounters sent to this website, when they stated that security is so strict that no one could email anything out of the company? There must be something wrong somewhere, right?
