Paid $150 to Terminix, Hazel Park, Michigan office to give a termite inspection for a VA mortgage requirement.

The inspector  "Chris" indicated on his report that he "suspected" termites could be in the house.  However, he said he did not see any evidence.  I asked him why should he put "suspected" instead of we do have termites or we do not.  We paid them to give us a professional inspection. 

However, we realized the company must have told the inspectors to indicate "suspect".  He told me that I should have no problem, but he had to include the wording on the document.  VA would not accept the word "suspect" on report and we could not close until it was taken care of.  We hired another company who did the inspection for $85 and after a thorough inspection the the house, his finding was there was "no visible evidence of termites. Terminix refused to rewrite the report or refund our money.

I feel the company thought we would call them for extermination, because they called the next day for appointment times and cost.
