Award Winning Notification letter recived dated Dec. 05, 07 with a check for 3,150 to cover fees. It states I have won 46,500 in the North American Utilities draw held on Monday Sept. 24, 07. It says to call Mrs. Anita Miller at 1-226-200-0343 to assist in finalizing the payment process. The prefix 226 does not show anywhere in the phone book. I believe this is out of Canada. You do not reach a person at that number, it asks you to leave a message.
I believe this to be a scam

Right now it looks like a mini-scam: the call you made was probably on your nickel.
If they had offered a toll-free number, you could run up some real charges on them if you dial *67 first......
