DO NOT TRUST THIS LIAR AND THIEF. NOW £20k and a Rolex has been stolen from me and apparently its ok to ignore me and not pay me back, despite hundreds of assurances. he says its all too much for him??
All this because i am not Jewish!.

The only time he responds to my messages is when i mention the pending article on the Jewish Chronicle. He is more concerned about himself than destroying my family which were there to help him. He seems to forget!!!

He has stolen £7000 from my seven year old son that he got from his grandfather after he passed away.

His response is to ignore, laugh at and refuse to pay any of it back.

THIS MAN IS AN EVIL sick individual.

Jon Gilbert has now BLOCKED all calls and messages from me.

He is still refusing to talk, discuss any payment plan or give me any of the £16k he owes.

He also promised 3 weeks ago that he would give me the £6k, which he borrowed for a week in October last year, so i could purchase a property. Knowing this he has DELIBERATELY not paid me so it has now cost me £50k!

He has no consideration for anyone but himself. 

He is a LIAR, Thief and CONMAN. He has deliberately defrauded me out of my money and has NO INTENTION TO PAY IT BACK. His refusal to talk or discuss any payment proves this.

EVERYONE BEWARE OF THIS LIAR AND THIEF.

Obviously there was no contract or security given and after 6 weeks of promising to organise a contract for security over his flat, he has still refused to do it. NOW he has written this - "I am serving an injunction against you"

and then last night...'

"You are leaving me no choice but to report you to the police right now for harassment

And that's what I'm doing right now"

This is his way of avoiding paying any of the £16k he owes me.

In my eyes, this is not what you do when yo owe somebody money fo almost a year now. Te repeated lies and promises to pay were exactly that, LIES.

Obviously happy to involve a solicitor to get at me personally, but cant contact one for over 6 weeks to secure paying me back my money. Interesting way to treat someone that was there for you.

Today I also find out he has blocked all contact with me both by phone and on message. HE HAS NO INTENTION TO PAY HIS DEBT. He has lied and cheated me the whole way through.

Not anything towards the money he owes me. 

I am still waiting, now 6 weeks, for him to arrange a contract through his solicitor to secure the funds against his flat. I have still received nothing!!!

It was meant to happen a month ago, then last week, then this week, and always an excuse as to why it cannot be done. Another Olympic Gold in LYING!

I have repeatedly asked for some sort of proof , ie email, that he has instructed a solicitor and obviously I have received nothing!

I have asked for him to call me and explain and nothing as usual, apart from a threat. This is a strange way to attack someone because they were nice enough to lend you money (or stupid enough to be taken in by the lies and deceipt).

I just remember how quick he was to respond when he was coming to me for money, and how different it has been for nearly 11 months now as he has avoided paying me anything.

I will do a regular update now as I have had enough of the lies and the fact he has stolen my money now and continues to lie and lie, especially after the last post i wrote.

BEWARE this man. I have been laughed at for nearly a year for being there for him.

Despite more promises to call me yesterday, i got nothing. No response to any of my questions, no response to the lies he told and nothing from his soliciotor to form a contract to repay me. 

It seems quite clear that he has NO intention to pay me anything. His lies go on and on.

Again today, over 50 attempts to call him and he REFUSES to answer.

THIS MAN HAS BEEN GIVEN EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS THE MONEY HE OWES ME AND REFUSES TO. HE IS A LIAR AND A THIEF AND A CONMAN WHO IS A PROFESSIONAL VICTIM. I WAS THERE TO HELP HIM AND HE LIED AND LIED ABOUT PAYING ME BACK.

To do this to someone who was there to help you when nobody else was, is inexcusable. To take my £16,000 and then laugh in my face seems to be ok with him. Im not sure he would do it to one of his community.

I have now given him every opportunity possible to come to an arrangement, which he has refused to do at every stage. This in itself is taken as a refusal to pay.

10th February - UPDATE

I have rung on a few occasions today and i am still being ignored. Jon Gilbert has still refused to call me or answer my calls.

As i expected, there has still not been any money transferred to me despite his words that he was collecting cash on Thursday evening. Either that was another lie, to avoid paying me, or he is spending it on himself. In addition, there has been no paperwork received from himself or his solicitor, which would make me think that he never even saw one and it was yet another LIE in his efforts to defraud me of his money.

Still trying to get over the fact that he uses his friends unfortunate personal situation to his advantage by using as an excuse. There is no end to how low this lying, thieving conman will go. To put the cherry on the cake, he makes out that he is the victim! 

Will keep everyone posted as to what happens here......my guess would be i probably get some threatening text from him, as the spineless wimp wont pick up the phone and talk to me. How different he is when he needs money from you!!!!

9th Feb - After finally having, what i thought to be a frank conversation wuth Jon Gilbert, we had agreed, and Jon was to plan, to see a solicitor. This was meant t have been arranged for the last month but Jon was unable to arrange even a meeting.He apparently arranged one on Wednesday where a contract was to be drawn up to secure the funds i loaned to him against his share in his flat.

Apparently a meetin took place on Wednesday where Jon then said that his wife would be approached to sign a document. This was meant to have been done and a contract forwarded to me for my solicitor to review.

Last night, after Jon has avoided talking to me and refusing to give me any details of his solicitor, asked if we could deal with this the next day, as he was helping a friend with a personal situation. I agreed. This is his text - “Gimme a time and I'll meet it”. He was also due to pick up money today from a client to cover £6k of my loan.

Obviously none of the above happened!. Instead, he blocks my calls and has refused to answer over 30 calls!.

There was nothing from his solicitor, no money and no call as usual! Despite 10 requests for his solicitors details he refused to pass any details on. I may be sceptical, but i do not believe he ever saw one and no contract is forthcoming. I will update everyone when i soeak to his poor ex-wife. I yhen find out something quite special!!!

WORSE than this, I contacted the friend, only to find out that Jon Gilbert was NOT with him last night!!!!      

He was caught out red handed last night, lying as to why he could not talk to me. This is really the icing on the cake as to his conduct throughout.  This man is a compulsive liar and now appears that he has intentionally defrauded me of the money he owes.

His repeated promises are all lies, the solicitor?, the money? etc

I will do a regular update until this is resolved as people need to know what this thief is really like. I hope that next friday, there will be a follow up article in the JC and an update on any pending prosecution that my solicitor sees fit.

4th Feb -

Since, yet again, being promised money last thursday, I have received nothing.
Not even a phone call to explain why he hasn't paid.

The excuses have been amazing as to why he was unable to collect money for me. I am assuming he has now run out of them. One could almost believe that he already has the money and is spending it on himself instead of paying me!!!!
Again, he refuses any contact whatsoever. I have tried to speak to him for 3 days now and asked that if he had any imtention of paying me back to call me. I have received nothing from him so he has confirmed that he has no intention to pay me or even contact me. As they say, actions speak louder than words!

It is now 10 months that he has lied about paying me the money that i kindly lent him to support the band when nobody else would. They obviously know him better than I did. It is amazing that, over this time, he has knowingly ruined both our holiday and Christmas and hasnt even got the decency to apologise to my family. How this man was brought up, i dont know, but he has absolutely no shame, no morals, no principles and no sense of duty. Every penny he gets from clients he lies about. Despite all the gigs he has done since September, apparently he hasnt received any money from them!! I think i detect another LIE!

As this is what he has done to someone who was a friend to him, when nobody else was, I dread to imagine what he would do to others. Hence, I urge any other people to come forward now, as his community and other unsuspecting people need to know how devious and scheming this man is, and to what lengths he will go to defraud people of their money. Following on from the article regarding him in the Jewish Chronicle, there will hopefully be another one shortly, as he has to be stopped.
Also, thank you to the person who has already come forward, very interesting and look forward to seeing you at the meeting this week.

Despite the promises to pay me part of the money before Christmas, I received nothing.

I have however, had a multitude of excuses why he cannot pay! I have since had further promises to pay a week ago last friday and i received NOTHING!

In fact, he refused to contact me at all! 

2 weeks ago we made an agreement to have the £6k paid immediately and we would see a solcitor to sort out a payment plan using his share of his flat as collataral. Jonathan Gilbert has failed to manage to even make a phone call to arrange a meeting in the last 2 and a half weeks. Everything else is more important and he is not interested in settling his debts at all. This is quite clear.

If anybody else is owed any money by this man then please get in touch as this seems to be a regular occurance and I plan to make the country aware of his antics to defraud people of their money.

Ive now been told that "if i remove the online postings, we can make a plan!!"

There is no end to the lies and deceit that I have been given when, as i said, I kindly helped a friend out when nobody else was there for him.

Promises and more promises broken and now, always the victim, he is doing anything and everything to avoid paying me the £15k he owes me. All the money he receives he spends elsewhere, with complete disregard for me and what he agreed when i helped him out. To now get threatened and blackmailed by him is beyond words!

I will keep you updated as to whether i get my money tomorrow, but no doubt, it wont happen as he will have manipulated the situation in his head to make him the victim again.
