The Manhattan Club Timeshare We are owners who can never get our full stay if at all. $$$$ for fees and the place is tacky.The reservation desk says they are booked up ALL YEAR and nothing is available. Oversold. Then they adver Time Share Rip off to owners, oversold, owners can't get in New York City, New York

We are owners at The Manhattan Club.  Although they claim that they have not oversold, the numbers of people who can't get their scheduled days is large based on the many complaints I have read.  They also advertise the rooms to the public for $550 per night while claiming that they have no rooms available.  I asked them about it and they said it was in the fine print.  We have only gotten our full consecutive days once that I am aware and we have owned from 2005.  Called in April and they said they were filled ALL YEAR but as usual they could offer us partial time. (I assume they use the rest of our time to rent out?)  We live on the west coast and use this to visit family members. We can't just fly out for 2 days at a time.  We pay about $2,000 a year in upkeep fees and yet it has just gotten tackier over the years. Even though they can't book us in, they ask us for names to refer people. When we did refer some people they gave the credit to some doctor in Virginia, our friends who know we have a time share kept asking us who this guy was.  When I mentioned it people in the business office, they just brushed me off.  Why would we refer anyone for a free breakfast for some doctor in Virginia? They are so overfilled owners can't get a room now so referring more owners would be really dumb.  I guess they think that by cutting peoples stay in half they can rip off the new guy and give him half of a stay too.
