The Paragon Bounced refund check Westerly Rhode Island

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but The Paragon went into recievership.

I'm a former employee. Paragon was bought out a couple of years ago by Blue Sky Brands, who was in turn was owned by Reliant in Chicago. They also bought Winterthur, National Wildlife, and Bits and Pieces catalogs.

About 130 employees in RI, and guessing about 600 more employees in WV are out of work. The RI employees weren't paid the last week, and the W Virginia people weren't paid the last 3 weeks. None of the vendors were paid for about 6 months. Sovereign Bank is owed about 11.6 million dollars. And there are a whole lot of customers that got screwed over as well.

Its my understanding that Bits and Pieces catalog was purchased this week by another company.

I wish I could help, but don't waste your time trying to contact Paragon, the building is vacant. The RI Attorney General has put the matter into the hands of a reciever. The contents of the building, or whats left of it, will go to auction.

All of the employees (including me), the vendors, the bank, and the customers are all basically screwed. I'm sorry for that.
