I was surfing and came across a RIP OFF Report for The Purse Forum. I'm glad someone else agrees this gossip site is a horrible use of the Internet. The people there do nothing but gossip and destroy other people's lives. It is an absolutely useless resource for valid information about handbags.

The members, or gossipers, pretend to know about handbags, but they really don't. They are slanderous, and their comments are nothing but trouble. Stay away from that site. Don't ask them for guidance because you can't guarantee what they say are facts at all. I posted pictures of authentic handbags I purchased directly from Chanel, and the members told me they were all fakes. What a joke!

These people don't know a real from a fake if it slapped them in the face. They are all Rip Offs at that site, especially the two owners, Vlad and Megs -- former eBayers who have very little class. They want traffic on their site to drive clicks & affiliate commisions on sales to make money off everyone. It's a joke, nothing but trouble, and all-in-all, not a good place to go if you want valid information. It's nothing but a joke! What a rip off!

Purseforum is a sham!

AUTHOR: hecuba - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 09, 2016

They absolutely do represent themselves as being experts. If the tenant of the purseforum is to only buy from a boutique or major department store then why has the site set itself up as being the place to go for authentications on used handbags? You just contradicted yourself by saying: "It is THE BEST source of information for consumers hoping to purchase an authentic luxury item via the Internet or private sale."
If the site's tenant is to only recommend purchasing from a boutique or major department store then they wouldn't be doing authentications at all!

On the Purseblog naive, insecure buyers are encouraged to post photos along with the names and locations of the sellers they are purchasing the disounted, 2nd hand, used purses from. These are people who cannot afford luxury goods but want the perceived status of wearing a recognized luxury brand, purchased at a discounted price.

The site is full of venomous, shallow, vapid, gossiping women who have nothing worthwhile to do with their lives. The self-proclaimed experts are sellers themselves who are trying to eliminate their competition.

Two of the "experts" have been sued for trade libel in a court of law. The well-publicized lawsuit is online for all to read and will confirm everything I have stated here.

purseblog.com does not have a clue about what is authentic and what is not

AUTHOR: txlady - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 04, 2009

i am very familiar with this company purseblog.com It is run by Meaghan Mahoney & Vlad Dusil. They are really just motivated by money and dont care what anyone says about anything what so ever unless it puts money in their pockets. They run this site and a few other sites from their home but act as authorities. They post lies inorder to gain exposure and dont care about they do to others with these lies. All their posts about visiting this showroom and this and that company to review handbags are pure BS. They have no authority or knowledge about products and as mentioned on this site, its only about $. Its sad how low people can go. My issue with them started when my posts were actually removed because i did not agree with some of the comments others had made on some products which i know where in fact authentic. So what does this tell you? A site that removes what is not in their financial benefits yet acts as a place that provides guidance is not a place that i trust and should be exposed. Thank you

Avoid Authentication Thread like the Plague

AUTHOR: Zenisgood - (Europe)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 28, 2009

The objective of the authentication site is basically to promote existing resellers and nothing to do with really authenticating anything. I have actually placed a number of real Hermes bags and it was immediately called a fake. Then using a different profile, I actually said that I just got this bag from xxx (a reseller) and guess what, same bag, this time AUTHENTIC! So a couple of months later, I got a fake Birkin bag on line and copied the watermark of a reseller and used it on the photos of the fake bag. sent it for authentication and surprise-surprise its AUTHENTIC. When I exposed the authenticators on line for the fraudsters really were my profile was Sofa King Banned and all postings removed.

Can I please urge everyone to log on, register and then, after 5 days of posting nice comments, send private message all new members - a link to this ripoff report for their attention. Is time we expose them for what they really are. People are losing a lot of money buying fake bags thinking they are genuine!

I agree with Stephanie

AUTHOR: Sheltielove - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 19, 2009

Some of the posts here may be from disgruntled former members of The Purse Forum. However, I am currently a member in good standing and I can tell you that everything Stephanie said is correct. Of course, The Purse Forum (Vlad & Megs) is a business with the intent of making money. But they do it in a deceptive way, acting in cahoots with some of the bag makers and are quick to sweep any discontent under the carpet. They prefer to ream you in private emails and threaten you with a ban. I stay there because I've been fortunate to make friends with some wonderful, smart, funny and giving women - who are nothing like my description of the owners of the site.

By the way, the Purse Forum Blog is one of the poorest excuses for a blog I've ever seen. It's lacking in wit, intelligence and even useful information.

I agree

AUTHOR: Stephanie - (Canada)

POSTED: Sunday, March 15, 2009

The continued concern here is that the purse forum changes your wording on certain words such as stores or boutiques and changes your words to direct links so that they can collect more money. They have a lot of shady behind the scenes that they don't tell people. While you make a post, they have the site set up so it recognizes certain words and will instantly underline that word so it is an easy link for the purse forum to make money off of. They have a lot of give aways but not always up front on who wins. I've never seen so many banned members from a forum that come back who are so spiteful. It really is the way they treat their members. They do not actively have the amount of members the site claims. The site doesn't delete membership, which is why the numbers continue to grow. I wish them well, just wish that they could be honest and treat people the way they expect to be treated. I really don't see a happy ending with a site that is run with an iron fist.

I agreed, they are not expert and sometimes give WRONG information, I HAVE BEEN FOOLED

AUTHOR: Justice Seeker - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 12, 2009

I have been fooled by one of the TPF member last year on 1 of the brand name bag (prefer not to mention), Seller who is a member at the purse blog claimed that the bag is authentic since she is a member at the purse blog. I trusted and paid the money for the bag, the bag arrived was the totally different bag then what she showed in photos, I request money back, non-responded. Lost over $8K . later on, the seller report me that I did not paid for item so she she did not send the bag ! and her internet forum friends ALL believe in what she said.

It is tragic how I gave so much trust in that place and has been ripped off by their member, and the ripper still has support from others only because they are internet friends and they all believe in her....
I stopped using that forum long time ago, because I found that the member are not qualify to make and judgement. some member are as young as 19 years old and making authenticator to other people!

anyway, no more TPF, I am now the member of "The Fashion Spot" or TFS . because there, only people who got invitation can join, and the admin take serious consideration and check background before someone can join the community. its a real deal...

In addition the Purse Forum is known for Deleting and/or editing Posts to suit their needs!

AUTHOR: Vladimous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 23, 2008

In addition to the Purse Forum being a haven for counterfeit handbag sellers the moderators and owners of that site are famous for editing comments and deleting comments to suit their whims and/or needs. My best advice to everyone is: AVOID AVOID AVOID, unless you favor scensorship and fraud.

Getting the facts straight

AUTHOR: Cd - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 13, 2008

For Vlad(Beverly Hills), I'm sorry for your misfortune, but, as "Serious Consumer"stated, The Purse Forum does not suggest selling or buying from members, period!!! They do suggest valid, reputable, retailers(Why would you buy so many bags anyway?) For Im(LA), not everyone knows everything. Don't blame the cow for sour milk. There are many Chanel bags, especially vintage ones, that no one has even seen. But I do think you should check out the purse forum, they do have a reliable source of information.

Have Too Much Time on Your Hands?

AUTHOR: Serious Consumer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 17, 2008

I am a long standing member and supporter of The Purse Forum and your comment is not only offensive, but fictitious as well. First off, The Purse Forum does not buy or sell goods; nor does the forum suggest from where or form whom to buy goods. In fact, one of the fundamental tenements of the site is that consumers should only buy luxury items direct from a boutique or major department store. So anyone claiming to have bought handbags from The Purse Forum is lying. If you bought an item from someone claiming to be a forum member, then your transaction occurred outside of the forum (and obviously the forum cannot control what people do outside of its parameters).

Most of the members on this site are handbag enthusiasts. No one claims to be an expert, and any opinions about authenticity issues are just thatopinions. These opinions are derived from the members' wealth of knowledge obtained through purchasing, collecting, and following various luxury brands throughout the years. It is THE BEST source of information for consumers hoping to purchase an authentic luxury item via the Internet or private sale.

Anyone claiming otherwise must be disgruntled (possibly from being banned from the site for soliciting their own goods or just a general troll). If you really want to know about the forum, I suggest you log in and find out for yourself. The members there donate countless hours of their time sharing knowledge and insights on luxury brands in an effort to help consumers (who solicit their advice) make an informed decision.
