The Shutter Company Totally conned! Paid a 50% deposit 4 months ago - blinds never materialised and now they won't give me my money back!! London United Kingdom

I have been massively ripped off by The Shutter Company and really want to warn others not to deal with them as it's a TOTAL CON. I paid a 50% deposit for my shutters at the end of October and was told I'd have my blinds by early December. The blinds never turned up and after SEVERAL ignored emails and texts to Yusef, who seems to run the "business", I eventually got an email in January saying that there was a problem with the supplier and as I'd have to wait another two months for the blinds and they knew that wasn't convenient, they'd give me a full refund on my deposit. This was in January and I STILL do not have my deposit back, despite Yusef promising me several times on the phone that it was being processed. This was all a lie and my money has never turned up. At one stage he even said he would send me the "receipt" to prove he had paid me the money back, but this never materialised. In the last phone conversation he admitted that his behaviour was totally unacceptable but asked me not to take legal action and assured me I'd have my money within 3 days, but still nothing. I have been left no choice but to take legal action. I STRONGLY advise anyone not to deal with this company. They have effectively stolen from me and I find this particularly despicable given that Yusef knows that I have a young family to support. I cannot stress enough that he is not to be trusted!
