Thor Himle Photography Thor Himle Wedding photographer refused to provide pictures to newlyweds... Ignores calls, texts, and emails. Cambridge, Massachusetts

My wife and I were married on August 29, 2010. We had hired Thor Himle to be our photographer. We researched his work, checked out his website, and set up a meeting with him. During the meeting he showed us more of his portfolio, explained how he would digitally edit the pictures, and even showed us the cameras that he would be using, explaining everything as he went along. We signed our contract that stated we would receive our pictures no later than 30 days after our wedding and paid a 50% deposit via pay pal. He shows up an hour early to our event and things were going fine. The night ended, we paid him in full and provided a generous tip and were told it would be more like three weeks for our pictures rather than the stated thirty days. After the thirty days surpassed, I tried contacting him several times looking for the pictures, when we finally got a hold of him, he had stated that his mother had sent out the package and would get us a tracking number. A week later, with no tracking number to be had and no package in the mail, he stated that it must have got lost, but he would be back in town the following week and would hand deliver them. When the time came to meet, he sneaked out of the meeting and did not respond to calls texts and emails. We tried countless days of getting a hold of him. After about another month we decided to use a text emulator to give us a new number, and texted him from that so he wouldnt think it was us. When we come clean, he caves and apologizes, and tells us that he just never finished editing the pictures and should have owned up to his mistakes. He claimed that he would be able to supply us with the pictures within a week. Well needless to say that was the last we heard from him, and that was a few weeks before Christmas! Since that time, I have sent a certified letter to his mothers address in Lodi, CA because he moved back out there. It went unclaimed. I also wrote to his father through facebook, which seemed at first like his father was concerned enough to help us, but was yet another dead end. So here we are coming up on six months since the wedding, and my wife and myself have no pictures to call our own and are looking into legal actions. I have all of my unanswered emails saved as well as the signed contract. His business website has since been taken down but he does still have his fan page on facebook.
