Hello My name is Egypt. I am a fashion Model. I had resereved a photo shoot with Tim Grant of After dark Photography out of NYC. This guy told me that he needed me to put down a deposit to hold a time slot for me to shoot with him. he claimed that he could walk into any showroom and get me fashion clothes for the shoot. I western unioned $300 to a East Orange New Jersey address to take care of the shoot. Upon my arrival to New York and I am from Chicago, He cancelled our appointment because he said his flight from L.A. was grounded. I notified him weeks in advance that I would only be staying a week in NYC. So the next day came and he cancelled again claiming he had to meet with some top designers. Then the next he would not answer his phone. nor would he retiurn me my money. I told my friend and other photographer who I wanted to use the money for( Israel) that Mr. Grant would not give me my money back. I wasted a trip to NYC. Ladies never fall for this kind of scam. I now have a mistrust with some photographers. He totally ripped me off.

As a general rule I say having a team of people especially a wardrobe stylist is important. Generally getting good clothes is a stylist job, not the photographers. He should deliver quality photos.
If her truly had access to "top designers" it wouldn't be Pelle and FUBU and if he did work with them it should be credited in tear sheets. Review portfolios and goggle links.
I wish others the best with this information.

Tim Grant has also been know for lewd conduct, asking models to do overtly sexual and lewd things and worst of all, rape. Please, all women, stay away!!!

This is Tim Grant. I just came across these postings that have me in breach of contracts with two models.Both of these instances are fasle-hoods and I would like these allegations removed.I have all necessary documentation to support my position that these claims are false.I am ready with both legal representation and other means to contest these false charges.Such allegations should not be allowed to be posted without substantial proof from the individuals making these claims. Please contact me directly.I will escalate this legally if action is not taken immediately.

I think this is probably the same Tim Grant as mentioned above - only he went under the agency name of Modern Art. He "claimed" to work for such big labels as Pelle Pelle, FUBU, etc. and "claimed" his office was located in a building of which all meetings were held in STAIRWELLS!!! After an initial meeting, an agreement was signed promising X number of shoots for X number of dollars. I paid the full amount of $300 in full (documented with receipts!!) and did not have more than one shoot which was make-shift B.S with hand me down clothing and amateurs. I am still waiting for my additional shoots promised in the agreement - I have it all documented and deserve my money back for the breech of agreement!!! I have been calling him for almost a year straight with no return! I will find you Tim Grant and get my money back!!!!! You are a liar and a fraud and should be ashamed of yourself for ripping off ambitious young women!
