I have had tmobile service for alomst 4 years now. I got a new phone(Sharp TM150) which i paid for it in february of 2005 when i renewed my contract. The phone worked great for a few months then all of a sudden the audio on the phone went dead I contacted Tmobile and the gladly replaced with a refurbished phone which gave me the same problem and I resend it again and they replaced me with another refurbished phone.

1 month after using it the same problem occured and they send me another phone. 3 month later they tell me that they did not receive the phone i sent so they are charing me a restocking fee of 460.00. 2 days later they send me text stating they got the phone and will credit my account.

So now they tell me that after looking at the phone it looks like it had liquid damage so they are charging me $100 dollar for out of warranty. I explained to them that they phone had audio problem so there is no way there was any liquid damage. Tmobile reps are rude so they tell me I have to pay. I explain to the lady that I f i have to take it legal then I will; but they have to soley prove that because earlier on they had informed me that they did not receive the phone and 2 days later they tell me was an error they did receive the phone.

So I told the rep lady that I believe that this was an error and there was no liquid damage to the phone. I was given the consumer relations fax # and no respond. I requested to be sent a letter stating why i was being charged so I can file a case against them and the rep lady states she can't do that. I told her If i need to go to court i need documentation why I am being charged for damages that are not there and she sates she cannot help me further. I have had it with Tmobile and I believe that it's a rip off rightt there.

If they can prove taht the phone has liquid damage let them do it but since they can't then it's unfair to the customers.

Human is prone to error the same way they were wrong about receiving teh phone and later found it I believe that the tech person that looked at teh phone was wron in their judgement and his/her mistakes are affecting me.

I ended up buying a new phone because the one they replace had the same problem still. A number of people have been complaining about this phoen so why would Tmobile still sell it knowing very well that the phone had problems. More so send out refurbished phones that still have problems.

The friends that I knew that the Sharp TM150 none of them have it any more due to problems and am determined not to be a victim of Tmobile's rip-off.

Why see horrible phone

Well Tmobile doesn't make the phone it seels it as a seller when you sell a product that is constantly giving you problems such as customer have numerous complains about it, the product it being sent back due to failure...well as a business then contatc the seller and help fix the problem. That why we have product recall.
So Tmobile doesn't make the phone it sells the phone so if my phone quits working I will not call sharp but Tmobile. It is the duty of Tmobile so alert sharp about the phone. By the way so many people ahve had problems with the phone if you read the reviews you can see. So stop selling the phone and let sharp figure out what is wrong wit the phone.

Like I said I paid $400 bucks originally for the phone have had 2 replaces in less than a year so technically I lost/waisted my money so I am now not ready to incurr another $100 dollar charge for something that I didn't do. At the time I had the phone the audi was messed up so whether they sent me a beat up refurbished phone it's thier fault not mine I don't make the phones either nor do I sell the phone. But definately I am not going to became Tmobile charge card where they input claims and unnecessary/unfair charges on people economy is stuff and hard and I am not about to be a victim. Not now not ever.

Well after Tmobile sent me the replacement phone I bought a new one for I got tired of this cat and mouse game then sending me a phone few days later quits working then sending me another phone with the same problem. The phone was not reliable when you wanted to make a call something wrong with it. To me that was not right so I got another phone not from Tmobile ofcourse but elsewhere. All the same liquid damage on the phone was not caused by me. I received the phone and after a few days was messed up so what am basically saying Mr Don is that I am not paying for something that I didn't do. The company would not even mail me a letter stating the damages to the phone the rep people have a different story to tell everytime I call. So logically I belive I am being charged so unfairly. I shipped the phone back like i was asked so weather the tech, warehouse person messed with it or for some reasons made wrong judgements I should not have to pay for it.
It quite shows how unstable the system is there First they tell me they don't have the phone 2 days later they apologize stating was system error they got the phone then now they expect to tell me of liquid damages?
I am much cleaver than that plus the picked on the wrong person this goes to show just how many customers are ripped of by Tmobile...just how many...

" In a given week, there are more than 10,000 phones that go through the warehouse." - from an employee post.

I can picture the scenario now. T mobile warehouse employees working in the mailroom opening mail - "oops" my soda spilled on this package - let me open it, discard the wet box and hide the phone so it can dry out. A day or two later the phone is "found" - send the customer a text message.

Now the T-mobile cell phone tech checks the phone to see if he can "refurbish" it and send it to another unsuspecting customer. Wait, what is all this sticky brown stuff inside the phone?
Darn customer is trying to rip us off! Charge her $100.00 as there is no warranty on this phone!

Evelyn, to quote you, you had the replacement phone for about a month. So if T-Mobile sent you a bad phone, would it not have not worked from the day you received it? T-Mobile and all companies do not put a timer in their phones for their phones to break after a certain amount of time. Something must have happened to it for it to stop working. I am not the cell phone technician that you are. I mean you did say that the phone can be repaired after it is beyond repair. OBviously, you could have fixed it yourself.

In response to what Don wrote since they got the phone eventually. Why should they now claim the phone has liquid damage? In the first place the phone was a refurbished one that quit working a month after receiving it. So when they look at damages are not supposed to put in mind that this phone has been fixed before then sent to the consumer to use?

An item can only be fixed upto a certain level after that it's beyond repair. Tmobile would not provide in writting the extend of the damages the customer service rep people only say liquid damage. To me thats not fair they saw they couldn't get me on restocking fee not they claiming liquid damage?

The phone was sent back due to audio problem same problem as the previous phones.

I can't pay for something that was not my fault and Tmobile knows better that to blame it on the customer. Without the customers the company would not be there in the first place and employees would not have a paycheck. For Tmobile to find reason to over charge or balme someone for a disfunctional phone it not right.

Also, the fact that they advised that you say they made a "mistake" be charging a restocking fee, then finding the phone is incorrect. In a given week, there are more than 10,000 phones that go through the warehouse. Unfournately, they can not all be processed immediately. Or maybe the USPS was slow delivering the phone to them. The important thing is that the phone was found.

The other thing to keep in mind, is that they are not saying that the phone was dropped into water, but that it came into contact with some liquid, which is causing the phone to not function properly.
