I joined almost two years ago and I've had three dates TOTAL. I speak with a different person almost every time I receive contact from them. They seldom call, maybe once every three months, and not always with a match. I've tried calling them on at least a half dozen times, and 100% of the time I am told that the person is with a customer, can I have them call me back. That is their STANDARD RESPONSE when I call them. Then, MAYBE, three or four days later, two weeks later, I MIGHT receive a return phone call.

They called twice with the same match who did not meet my criteria (too many children).

The person calling typically does not have my file handy and does not know the preferences or anything else about me.

I filed a complaint with the BBB and they outright lied in the response, claiming they had called me with more regularity than was the case, and in fact, stating they had called me on two specific occasions which were just false (as proven by cell phone records).

Furthermore, they keep telling me that they've transferred my membership to another city. I call San Antonio and they tell me to call Dallas, then Dallas tells me they're not responsible and for me to call Austin - it goes in a viscious circle EVERY TIME I deal with these people. The customer service is bottom tier, more akin to something I would expect from McDonalds.

STAY AWAY from this company.

Please contact me if you want to talk to a lawyer.

Looking to talk to a lawyer with other people who were lied to by Together. My main complaint, aside from the rude personnel, is that they misrepresented the entire program by claiming to match you based on the criteria you supply.

My criteria:
caucasian or hispanic
0 or MAYBE 1 child

I've been matched with a girl with 3 kids. I was matched with a girl with 2 kids. Six months later the same girl with 2 kids was pushed onto me again. Most recently, I was matched with an Indian woman. No offence, but I doubt an Indian woman and I would be compatible because of cultural differences. THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T INCLUDE THEM IN MY CRITERIA.

But they matched me with her anyway. They are unapologetic about it and are trying to shove women to me that do not match.

The match prior to the Indian woman told Together that she wasn't interested in a long distance relationship. GREAT! So why did they match her with me? Together actually told me this. Simply AMAZING.

Please, if you've been defrauded by Together anywhere in TX, contact me.

I to have been burned by this company's deceptive practices and after giving them plenty of time to make right on the situation, I am preparing to file suit. A possible class action lawsuit may be an option as well.

I agree

I'm simply tired of the broken promises. I'd like to talk to an attorney.

Essentially, there has to be a limit as to how long I can be forced to wait in between matches before it becomes obvious that they aren't going to be able to fulfill their committment.

They STILL are horrible at returning phone calls and generally don't do what they say they will:

1) Work one-on-one with so-and-so. Never happens, I've been told this 5 or 6 times by 5 or 6 DIFFERENT people.
2) So-and-so will call you back. Never happens - I have to call them back days later.
3) Ignoring the criteria (i.e. setting me up with the same girl TWICE who had two chilren when I wanted no more than one).

THE BBB IS DEFINATELY ON TOGETHER'S SIDE

AUTHOR: Margaret - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 07, 2008

I complained to the BBB of Houston after Together of Houston, Texas dropped the ball on me and ripped me out of 1500.00. The BBB lied, I still don't have my money back and the credit card company would not help.

Justin, perhaps we should sue them together.
