STAY AWAY!!! This company is a scam!!

I ordered a foldable solar panel for camping from their website. When I was ordering, I typed my current address and the website calculated the total shipping amount of $7.60 and I acknowledged the total amount of $129.59 and paid thru paypal. I received a sales ordered receipt acknowledgement and started waiting..

One week passed there was no response from anyone, second week almost passed and I asked about what is going on, and there was no answer..

I e-mailed them numerous times and finally someone in the company replies back to me the following e-mail after 12 days:

"There will be additional shipping charges of $69.38 Toolfetch Christian"

They want me to pay $69.38 more on top of $7.60 I paid to send a product that only weights 2 POUNDS!!!!! This is absolutely crazy.

How come the website never had such claims when I ordered and paid for shipping alredy and acknowledged with a PROOF OF SALES? How come nobody responds to my e-mails for numerous days and finally after 12 days? Where is the REFUND?

Customer Shipping to Hawaii

AUTHOR: Toolfetch - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 06, 2012

We at Toolfetch are following up on this report.  The customer did not mention he was shipping to Hawaii which incurs increased shipping costs.  We also have a specific section for customers in Alaska and Hawaii to check out which is clearly marked in the cart but the customer bi-passed this method.  All of our customers use this method to get the proper rate.

We also did email the customer 2 times asking him to call us so that we can provide the proper rate as this is not a ground shipment and requires air shipping.  We then sent a 3rd email stating the increased cost as we heard nothing back from him.

The customer is correct that $7.60 is the ground rate in the lower 48 states but not to Alaska and Hawaii.  We stand behind Christian at Toolfetch who quoted the customer properly.  The customer was given a full refund asap when he did finally contacted us 2 weeks later with multiple threatening emails.

We wanted to set the story straight as only half the story was being told.
