Contract signed July 13th 2006. Owner refuses to complete work to satisfaction. Concrete, liner, and electrical for pool are faulty. We have paid $17774 and owe $1900 at completion. Owner refuses to do any more work until final payment is made. The final payment is supposed to be made after all work is completed to satisfaction. We have been trying to get this resolved for over a year with no results. He keeps putting me off with excuse after excuse. He finally told me, after putting me off all this time, that he would not do work until final payment made. I advised I would make the final payment after work was completed to my satisfaction per the contract. He became very rude and verbally abusive. He then hung up on me. I have paid the vast majority of the money and expect the work to be completed before paying the balance. He refuses to cooperate and continues to hang up on me when I call for resolution. Details on the issues are below 1. Concrete: Half of the concrete has been done incorrectly. We had someone who was licensed and certified to do concrete work come look at it and give his professional opinion. He advised the workers either used too much calcium in the mix (to make it set up faster thus speeding up the process) or hosed the concrete down as they may have poured too much and could not work it fast enough. The owner said he came and looked at the concrete and nothing was wrong with it other than it was dirty. It is obvious to the naked eye that one side is white and one side is brown. One side also has spiderweb cracks throughout. He called me a liar when I told him about the evaluation. 2. Liner: The liner has been discolored since shortly after install. He has been promising to replace it for over a year. Last spring he advised we should wait untill fall. Last fall he advised better to do it in spring. He advised he has contacted the liner company and sent photos. They agreed to send a new liner to have it replaced. Owner says the new liner is at his shop but will not replace until final payment is made. 3. Light: The light in the pool also stopped working shortly after install. He also put us off on repairing this. Still not working. We just want what we paid for and what was promised. We have paid a large sum of money for this pool and would like to use it. Please Be aware. DO NOT deal with these people. Please let all your friends know. This Man should not have a licence to continue to do buisness.
