Well known drunk Mark Dewyea, ripoff contractor, Poster Boy for Tupper Lake New York. Driving drunk after 4 pm almost every day of the week, sometimes just after 12 noon!

For many years we've all watched the publisher of the Tupper Lake Free Press coddle the many good old boy politicians and various criminals in Tupper. Dan, why don't you just sell the news paper to someone that will print real news to benefit our community. Maybe your subscribers would read more than the letters to the editor and the few classifieds. Our community would be a better place because of it. You know so much but look the other way!

I've lived here all my life, and heard many hilarious names for our local news paper besides useless. This paper serves no good purpose to the community.

I am writing because of another useless article that appeared in the Tupper Lake Useless Free Press about a local contractor, rip-off Mark Dewyea. What a gross misrepresentation to your readers, you should be ashamed of yourself.

I am only saying something now because I have been a victim of Mr. Dewyea along with other friends and family. The article that was published was misleading as usual and your writers (if you want to call them that) have a lot to be desired. Masybe it's not thier fault; they are a victim of your instructions.

Dan, here is how your article should have read in your useless news paper.

A well known drunk of Tupper Lake and a Building Contractor who has stolen a lot of hard earned money from the many residents of Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, Long Lake and Malone New York escaped death early last week when the snowmobile he was riding drunk broke through the ice of Big Tupper Lake.

Mark Dewyea in his normal state of drunkenness was riding along with well known and well respected local automotive mechanic Steve Skelling Monday night at the southern end of Big Tupper Lake near Bog River Falls when the mishap occurred.

Mr. Dewyea went the wrong way because of his drunken state of direction. Steve Skelling then went after Dewyea to tell him he was going towards open water. When Mark realized he was heading in the wrong direction, he stopped on thin ice. He reportedly stayed on the snowmobile as it plunged into the ice water completely submerging. Luckily, his friend Steve Skelling, a true hero saw him go in and got to safe ice and then went to save him! Mark told people he was taking his last breath when he felt Steve grab for him.

Steve helped Mark out and Mark fell in again and Steve helped him out again!

Fortunately for Mark, his friend Mr. Skelling had his cell phone and called his wife Jodi. Jodi immediately left from her home with blankets and clothing to get to Bog River Falls.

Jodi Skelling gave Mark a ride to their home, while Steve rode his sled home.

On Sunday, Mr. Dewyea engaged a Vermont firm to retrieve the submerged sled from about 15 feet of water, but they were unsuccessful because Mark was so drunk, he couldn't remember where it went down in the lake. Mark has reportedly been bragging that he will just tell the authorities that he found his snowmobile and sold it. He never did find it and now the lake is being polluted. More lies from a very deceitful person.

Mark is the son of Jack and Pauline Dewyea, also well known alcoholics of Tupper Lake, and who is also well known but as a nasty, badge heavy correctional officer.

Dan Mc Clelland, I have to ask you, what the heck does Mark Dewyea's drunken parents have to do with the snowmobile going in the lake!? Is this an obituary? It's written like one.
Dan, our friends and neighbors all think you put on a great act of being a pillar to this community, they all know you are full of it and a kiss a*s to all the good ole boys in our community. Dan, why not talk about the person who saved him. Here is a hard working individual who runs a well respected business in town. Mr. Skelling should be the feature of your article and just a small mention of the drunk he saved. This is a small town, don't tell me you did not know about all this?

Dan, you're probably saying to yourself, "what makes the difference?" Dan, how many unsuspecting senior citizens and other people of Tupper do you think will end up reading this garbage about a well known contractor? You made the story sound like Mark Dewyea is a good person? Just think about all the unsuspecting readers of yours that will look up the name Dewyea, and call this dirt bag to have some work done! Every person Mark Dewyea has ever done a job for ended up in some sort of turmoil or disagreement where the customer was ripped off. Ooops, my wife said Ms Varden, a family friend likes him. My wife was told Mr. Dewyea screwed another local contractor together with Ms Varden, saving thousands of dollars for Ms Varden and a lot of money in the pocket of Mr Dewyea. Mr Dewyea has not even paid all his employees and has no insurance to cover his employees or insurance to cover for his worthless work, if he ever shows up after being paid for a job.

Luckily, our children who are all grown now left Tupper Lake after their teen years and thankfully they're very successful. This is only because they left Tupper Lake. Dan, YOU are Tupper Lake. You are a reflection of this town and are partly responsible for its condition. Who in this town has more power than you, to reach so many!?

Dan, I am ripping you apart because I blame a lot of Tupper Lakes failure on you. You're the publisher of the only publication in town. You have had the opportunity to be a leader and more so a promoter. Instead, you're a lazy good for nothing good ole boy publisher of a lot of useless fluff. Your article on the poster boy for the Drunken Tupper Laker is as misguided as the other articles in your paper. Although I must admit, the Tupper Lake Free Press was very helpful to me in my home when house breaking our dogs and our bird seems to like it at the bottom of his cage.

On an unrelated subject, Dan, why not do an article on Sunmount and what they are doing to the hard working staff/residents of Tupper Lake, your subscribers! What about all the corruption up there? Wake up Dan!

Dan, just think of what this would do to your readership. O' Yeah, I know, your saying to yourself most everyone gets it already, so why make any noise. But Dan, who's actually reading it.? What good are you actually doing for our community?
Either way, our bird will still get the Free Press.
