My door bell rang as I was preparing dinner one evening on January 2nd, 2004. I answered and found myself talking to two young, college age individuales. They said that they were representing a company called USA and were asking if I could help them by making a magazine subscription purchase. They indicated that they would earn points towards a future trip. I reluctently gave in and wrote them a check for $60.00 and picked Time magazine as my subscription. Well, I received my cancled check back, about mid January, 2004 but the subscription never came!
Today, I was looking on the internet and decided to do a search on this company (USA) Universal Subscription Agancy. When the search came up, I immediately noticed that others have been ripped off for the same reason.
These types of people and companies need to be stopped and good people who try to do good by helping others need to be notified of these fruadulent companies. I, for one, will never again buy anything via someone coming to my home.
