BEWARE OF UBID!

I made a bid for a product on U-bid. The product was Aiwa home speakers. The web site specified in several places, "Must bid on two speakers for a pair". There was a place to enter a bid, and my bid was for $37. Well, this is exactly what I did. I bid $37 for "two speakers for a pair". If the only way they are selling the speakers is in a pair, WHY IN THE NAME OF HUMANITY would I assume that my bid of $37 was for ONE speaker? At best, the site was vague and misleading. Not once in the site did it use the word "each". I emailed UBID 20 times in 3 days to get help and received nothing but form letters saying that they were in the process of reviewing my problem. I finally called the toll-free # and spoke with a rep. The rep basically agreed that it was vague and I then spoke with "the supervisor" who told me that it was not misleading and that it was common sense. They offered me two alternatives. The first, keep the speakers and be charged $37 each. The second, send the speakers back and pay a 15% restocking fee plus pay approximately $25 for shipping back to them. Well, I opted for keeping them. I'm not going to pay $36 and receive nothing! The worst part is that I have no recourse. I would recommend that no one use UBID. They have good deals, but if you have a problem, you will most likely be out of luck - assuming you can even get someone to talk to. I waited 45 minutes on a automated line. Thanks UBID!
