Unilever Breyer's Breyer's Shrinking Sizes of Half Gallon Ice Cream Internet, Nationwide

Breyer's has for the last few years been shrinking the size of its half gallon ice cream.  First by moving it from 2 quarts to 1.75 quarts and now to 1.5 quarts.  That's a 25% reduction! 

Now you might say that manufacturers can make any size they want.  But the way that Breyers has done this is very deceptive.  They kept the containers the exact same height and width but make the container thinner.  From the outside of the freezer they look exactly the same.  It's the packaging that is designed to be deceptive which is why this is a Ripoff.

Unfortunately, Breyers is not alone and there are dozens of products in our stores that have shrunk, especially in the last few years.  It is less of a problem if the packaging shrinks too but when they have designed the packaging to fool, it is a ripoff.
