Did Universal contact you first?  Did they make you an outrageous offer for your timeshare? Did they want money for closing fees up front BEFORE you see a signed contract?

If you said YES.  Then don't use this company.  Trust your gut.  They called you with information about your time share.  That information is public record.  Do you think some one is willing to pay three or four times the amount you paid for the time share.  Probably not. 

Do your own investigation into a resale company.  Check BBB first.  Read the report of a "success" on this web site about Universal and see all of the incomplete sentences, improper verb tenses, and spelling errors.  That report was most likely written by the company who is trying to scam us!

I received a call and at first I was told they were with Wyndam Resorts (my timeshare company).  He said they had a buyer pre-approved to purchase a time share.  I could not talk on the first night.  He called back with same information the next night.  Buyers returned to make an offer.  Universal rep said they were coming back a third time to sign all the paperwork the next day. 

All he needed from me is the fee of $1790 for closing costs up front and that I would recieve $17,900 in January 2012 once the closing was completed.  I paid $5600 for my points 10 years ago.  Red alert! Warning! Warning!  should be going off in your head at this point.  Then, when I said I wasn't going to pay that amount up front.  He cutthe price to $800.00.  

Avoid losing your money people.  Research the company first.  If it sounds to good to be true.  IT IS!
