I bought the warranty in feb. As a single mom workin 3 jobs, i thought it was a good idea as my truck was just over 91,000 miles. called may 5 & told them it was vibrating and making a funny noise & should i have it towed, the lady ask me if i felt it was safe to drive and i said i thought so but i am not a mechanic. told me to take it to the shop as soon as possible. my son became sick that evening (tues). i had him to the dr twice & er twice by friday. he then was admitted for e coli, i was on my way home to get clothes to stay at the hosp. with him. the truck broke down. i called for a tow & went to get a rental car. friday night they call me to say it will not be covered because the mechanic said the u joint broke & caused the transfer case to crack & the transmission to go out. he denied saying that, so we called back, they would not allow me to hear the recorded conversation where he supposedly said this. they then send an adjustor out monday who said it was approved because of the transfer case. obviously, they didnt want that answer, so on tues sent another one out who stated the transfer case had been leaking for months. i checked my receipts for my oil changes in feb & apr & no known leaks were detected, there are no leaks spots in my driveway as well. as of today, i have called & filed complaints with the bbb, indiana attorney general office, angies list & go see an attorney on tues

Tier One Scam

AUTHOR: Corey N - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 04, 2013
We were told by Tier One that because the car repairs cost more than the value of the car that they were only going to cover part of the cost. Took my vehicle to the shop and had the mechanic call Tier One to inform them of the repairs needed. They told the mechanic that he had to pull the engine out and breakdown the motor before a adjuster could come out and authorize the repairs.

The cost to do this is over $500 bucks and I was told that it was a out of pocket expense. I don't need to be sure if the engine is bad, Tier One does and my mechanic has already said it is. My cost in my agreement is only a $100 for covered parts and with the package we have the engine is covered. We paid our warranty in full and they aren't honoring the agreement. Beware of these people!!

Tier One Warranty not US Fidelis

AUTHOR: cdch - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, July 26, 2010

I would like to say that Tier One Warranty Service is not US Fidelis. We have occasionally been put in the same boat due to our business relationship. Tier One Warranty Service has always been committed to the great customer service given to all of our customers. If you feel that you have been wronged, let me extend a opportunity to give us a call back so we can revisit your situation. Again, Tier One Warranty Services takes great pride in taking care of our customers.

canceling your policy

AUTHOR: Fed Up - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 19, 2009

I signed up for this policy. I then began doing the math. I decided for what few things they actualy cover. It was not worth it. So, I called to cancel. I spoke to one person and told them what I wanted to do. They said that they would have to transfer me to another department for that. I was put on hold for fifteen minutes. When someone finialy came on the line she wanted to know my whole life story. I told her I just wanted to cancel the policy. She then said she wanted to speak to her supervisor. I was put on hold for another 5 minutes. When she came back on the phone she had a great deal for me. So I thought. By the time you spend 20 minutes on hold you kind of lose yor common sense. I then thought about it and called them back. The new wonderful deal covered about half of the first warranty. I was not able to cancel at that time. I do have things I must do becides stay on hold and argue with us Fidelis. I then spent the next two weeks trying to cancel this policy. They put you on hold to try to stall you in hopes they will get at least your down payment and your first months payment. I finialy reached the right department after spending another 15 minutes on hold. They asked me again why I wanted to cancel. When I told them it was because they had an F rating with BBB SHE BEGAN TO SAY ALMOST THE EXACT WORDS THE OTHER GUY WAS TALKING ABOUT. The guy that said they had this many complaints and this many customers and if you looked at the amount of complaints vrses customers there doing very well. If you are thinking about getting a policy from this company. Save yotself the aggervation and rolled down the window and toss that money out. You will be better off
