A non-profit church utilized property to dispense USDA and other products to the poor in area. Some perishable food was spoiled to the point it had white slimy growths. DID local business take tax deductable donations for this garbage.
Volunteers and Title V program person were told to have clients sign registration papers certifying they were receiving foods they were not receiving. The director was furious and abusive when lady refused to prepare consolidated reports attesting accuracy of fraudulent, inaccurate information. The title V lady was threatened and when she went to Sr. Center and L. A. office of County administering the program, she was attacked and told she would NOT be re-placed at another site.
She was told that police/whistleblowers were not welcome and she should not report the fraud to appropriate persons. Allegedly, a witness has photos of food for poor being sold to restaurants. At last contact, the witness was never contacted by authorities.
Washington D. C. did nothing to help the victim reporting.
Courts sent persons to do community service work and were used to work for the "profit" making warehouse on the tax-exempt property.
Alleged rep of CA State Rehab dept was abusive and made sexual demands for help and if refused the State put file on back burner.
Attempts at another agency again left file on back burner. Can you believe, part is years old. Yes, Pres. Bush was made aware, and still no help. This is "faith based" diversion of tax money/products to abuse!!
Part of receiving the food includes forced listening to religious and political dictates. Yes, the people are told how to vote!
