I began corresponding, by email, with the seller of a 2007 Toyota Tundra for sale for $5500.00. That should've been a clue.

I sent a Money Gram for $3100.00 to a holding Company called iEscrow on 11/26/08 and they replied back with a Transaction# . As the eventual receiver "Steve Summers'" name was put on the receiver line.

I never heard another word from anyone again.

I feel so stupid. I sit around and cry all day. It took us a whole year to save that money. We have bought a car online before. I feel like killing myself so as to be sure I'll never drag my family down again. What pain I feel.

I traced the Money gram to a pickup station in Brooklyn, NY, on 11/28/08.

Well, he gave a physical address that turned out to be a restaurant called Japonica Teriyaki, 1601 Willow Lawn Dr., Richmond, VA.

I called the restaurant and asked the woman who answered for Steve Summer, Please.

He took the call but didn't know what I could be talking about.

I was certainly going to give him the benefit of doubt until he suddenly decided he didn't want to be Steve Summer anymore when I asked who picked up my Money Gram in Brooklyn, NY.

He hung up.

Where do I go for help in finding this thief?

I'm sure it'll be another name and add. he'll use on someone else. The ad is still listed waiting for another target and believe me ,please, when I say that this guy is extremely good.

I have saved all correspondences with him and authentic looking documents from faux iEscrow co.

I made a Police report in my town so they can request that the Henrico Co. P.D. can inquire at the Richmond add. but I don't even think they'll bother, really.

It's really to late to do all of this homework now. The homework I should've done prior to sending money.

I was very sick that day and should'nt've been out. I just wanted to hurry up and get in done so I could get home to my Nyquil. I wasn't on top of my game at the time.

Please give me any advice as to what else I can do now. Hopefully, I won't get advice on what I should have done. I won't be buying from private parties online again. No one can be trusted and I did know that.
